Enzo and Nonna provided a fantastic cooking experience with locally sourced organic ingredients and wine. Enzo was extremely personable and knowledgeable of Calabria, being from the area originally. His English was excellent having lived in Australia for a period of time. We were taught how to prepare a simple but extremely tasty Italian meal starting with zucchini flower zeppole. We then made two kinds of pasta, cavatelli and fileja, by hand by mixing flour (00 and semolina) with only water. The cavatelli was served with an onion sauce made from Tropea onions, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. The fileja was served with a sauce of Tropea onions, tomatoes, olive oil, salt, and zucchini. Dessert was a homemade tiramisu made from espresso, cookies, and a fresh whipped cream with marscapone. The food was delicious and the company delightful. My wife and I highly recommend this cooking class if you are visiting Tropea!

This was our second excursion with Enzo. If you are ever in Tropea, I highly encourage you to book an excursion whether it be wine tasting with gelato or cooking with Nonna, both excursions were excellent and Enzo does a fantastic job.

Great experience, Enzo is a super kind host. The experience is also a social one, you can spend a nice evening with strangers connected by the passion for goos Calabrian food. Nonna Minna was very authentic!

We loved this expereince so much! Mima and Enzo were both so helpful and informative. We had always wanted to make our own pasta and were so glad to be able to do it for the first time in Italy. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic cooking experience in Tropea. Just make sure you come hungry!

A fabulous experience, we’ve always wanted to learn to make pasta, and we made two different varieties, as well as an appetizer and tiramisu for dessert. All using fresh Calabrian ingredients. Mimma is a wonderful chef, demonstrating how to make the dishes, whilst Enzo translated in English. (Although we understood Mimma by watching her expert hands) Thank you for a great night of wonderful food, wine and making new friends.

We really enjoyed our cooking class experience. It was located close (walkable distance) to Tropea old city centre. Nonna was super sweet, the cooking was fun and super delicious. Would recommend!

My wife and I had a fantastic time at the Tropean Cooking Experience. Chef Mimma and Enzo were a brilliant double act, with Mimma showing us the traditional techniques and Enzo translating and keeping us all entertained. As well as throwing in some tips of his own! The whole experience is around 3.5 hours and it absolutely flew by, helped by some delicious red wine! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tropea and looking for an authentic hands-on evening whether in a group or on your own. The food was so delicious we practically had to be rolled out of the door!

This was a great experience. We have taken several Cooking Classes in different countries, and this was one of the best. If you are visiting Tropea, I highly recommend you consider this.
