Itinerário
Nosso passeio começará no portão da cidade: a Porta Nigra (Portão Preto). Este Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO foi construído em 180 d.C. O edifício foi posteriormente convertido em duas igrejas e renovado por Napoleão. A caminho do Mercado Principal, faremos uma parada para tirar fotos da Dreikönigenhaus (Casa dos Três Reis Magos), uma construção única do século XIII. No Hauptmarkt (Mercado Principal), admiraremos suas charmosas casas em enxaimel e suas muitas atrações medievais, como a casa gótica do século XV chamada Steipe e a fonte do Mercado do século XVI. Depois, visitaremos a Catedral de Trier, construída no século IV e considerada a igreja mais antiga da Alemanha. Também veremos o lado sul da igreja, que foi destruída no século XII e depois substituída pela Liebfrauenkirche (Igreja de Nossa Senhora), considerada a igreja gótica mais antiga da Alemanha. Nossa próxima parada será na Konstantin-Basilika (Sala do Trono Imperial Romano). Esta estrutura gigantesca é o maior salão romano remanescente do mundo e foi construído para o imperador Constantino. Mesmo ao lado de Konstantin-Basilika, encontramos o Palácio Eleitoral, um edifício rococó do século XVII considerado o mais belo do género. Nossa última parada será nas Kaiserthermen (Banhos Imperiais), onde viajaremos no tempo visitando seu labirinto subterrâneo e aprendendo sobre sua história.

We had family visiting from the states, we planned the tour to try squeeze in as much as possible into their short stay, the guide never showed up. When we called they had the wrong time for our tour. We booked at 11am and they had down 3pm, we have several emails confirming 11am. It’s been over a week and we are still waiting on our refund.

Rudolf was waiting for us when we arrived early. He was a wealth of knowledge and had a great sense of dry humor. Rudolf was great! He knew his history and told a wonderful story to accompany the sights. The tour was executed with precision and we were offered an small add-on because we were unable to enter the cathedral.

I did this tour with Rudolf. I took a train out from Luxembourgh city and met him by the black gate. I saw a lot in the two hours. The gate, the churches, and the Roman baths were highlights. He was a nice man.

Michael was a very knowledgeable guide. He had a portfolio of very interesting drawings and images showing how buildings and areas of the city looked in their times ie Roman, Gothic, Renaissance etc. It was a very informative tour which I highly recommend.
