Viagem diurna à Rodovia Transfagarasan e ao Castelo de Bran saindo de Brasov

Lovely day trip! We started with a scenic drive up into the mountains, which offered breathtaking views at every turn. Afterwards we visited Bran Castle. No lines to enter (weekday in june), which made the experience even better. Our driver/guide for the day was great, he was full of fascinating stories and insights into Romanian history. This excursion was definitely a highlight on our trip to Romania :)

The tour was fantastic! Vali was an excellent tour guide - well versed (English is excellent) and very knowledgeable about Romanian history. He was very personable and social, and was excellent with the children (two under 8). We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

I don't know where to start about this incredible tour. I can hands down say this was the best one I've ever been to and Vlad was the best tour guide I've had! Typically, other tours tend to be a huge group of people in a coach or minivans, some very basic information along the way and then drop us off to a location, leave us be and get back by a certain time. They're not very personalised and seem very generic. I personally don't like those as I prefer a local to be with us throughout the entirety, especially as I am not good at directions and get quite anxious if we're told to be back at a certain spot by x time. This tour was a completely different experience. Firstly, it was small and intimate, rather than a big group. There were just a few of us so it felt very immersive. Secondly, the views and scenery were some of the most incredibly stunning sights I'd ever laid my eyes on. I can't even describe how beautiful it was. Pictures don't even do it justice. It felt truly magical. The Transfăgărășan highway was the most breathtaking road you could ever imagine. Myself and the others on the tour were gasping. At each bend and turn I kept thinking how this is the most stunning views ever, but then we took another turn which was even more beautiful, until it felt like surely it can't get better than this - but it did! It felt like we were in a movie or a fairytale, especially when we saw the misty skies over Bala mountain. I was gasping yet again of utter joy at the beauty. Thirdly, our tour guide, Vlad, was so lovely. He made sure to take care of us, had such great insights, we learnt a huge amount and he was very friendly. He went out of his way to help us with various things which we really appreciated and was professional. It was also interesting seeing locations related to popular culture, like "Dracula's castle" and other pretty buildings along the way. I went for my birthday and couldn't think of a more stunning location to celebrate. The Transylvanian landscape is now one of my favourite places on earth and I hope others are inspired after reading this. As a spiritual and religious person, it filled me with awe at the beauty of God's creation. Also, as someone who wears a hijab, and faced Islamophobia and racism many times, it's nerve wracking going to a new country, not knowing how I'll be treated. Thankfully, we were welcomed, treated respectfully, the Romanians we met were so lovely and our tour guide Vlad and helped all travellers feel at ease. Everything was great, I strongly recommend Vlad and his agency. Mountains, cable car, views, our touristic guide was amazing, his name is Vali. I learnt a lot from Romanian history.

We arrived in Brasov with plans to rent a car and tour the countryside. The rental car fell through, and suddenly we had no plan. We contacted several tour operators on a Sunday afternoon looking for a tour on Monday. None responded. At 9 pm Sunday, we contacted eTours, and Vlad replied right away that yes, he can take us tomorrow! Because we booked at the absolute last second, he was unable to get the minibus that he would normally have for a group of four adults. Instead he arrived in a BMW that we all fit in comfortably. When he asked what we wanted to do, we said we really didn't know, surprise us. He did! We drove the Transfagarasan Highway, which we had never heard of. The views where breathtaking and the history lesson we got was fascinating. Next was Bran Castle. I was expecting him to say "there is the castle, go on in. I will meet you back here in a little while." Instead he walked us through the castle, explaining the history, and pointing out details we would have never seen on our own. The history lesson was not a lecture; it was delivered with humor and in a casual way. After that and after hearing about the bear issues in Romania, we decided we wanted to go to the Brown Bear Wilderness Experience (I may have the name wrong). Again, last minute, and Vlad made it happen. We had a fantastic day thanks to Vlad and eTours. I highly recommend!

This tour exceeded my expectations. I joined at the last minute and was so grateful that I could be accommodated. Vlad was very professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. He made sure everyone on the tour was comfortable and stopped whenever necessary for breaks. The scenery on the Transfagarasan Highway was breathtaking. This is not a road I would enjoy driving, so it was a treat to have someone else drive while I could enjoy the scenery. We had beautiful weather the entire trip. Vlad also took us through some very picturesque towns and villages, so the tour ended up being even more interesting. Vlad gave us a lot of information on Bran Castle, which is an amazing place with a fascinating history. I would not hesitate to take some of the other tours he offers if I had more time, but I can highly recommend this one! All in all, a great tour!

We had a fun day out with Vlad. He spoke great English & shared his good knowledge going round Bran castle (which was impressive & wasn't too busy in September). Took plenty of photos of us at both Bran castle and Transfagasaran highway - which was also well worth a visit.

We had a great tour with Florin. The views from the cable car up to Balea lake are absolutely stunning! Florin is professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It was fun to see how much Bran castle has changed since I was last in the region! I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Carpathian mountains.

Beautiful scenery. Very friendly tour guide, very informative. Better than expected, ticked off my bucket list!

We hâd a great time on this trip . Vlad was excellent and very knowledgeable about the places we visited and even gave us an extra bonus place in Fagaras as part of the trip . Highly recommend him and the whole experience for anyone chooses to travel to Romania .
