At Guga Thebe Cultural Centre you can find a lot of beautiful handmade things. Object is wheelchair friendly.........
The township tour was very informative. It’s a must see and an eye opener. You will leave your heart there. The community inside the community is still segregated as they continue to wait on housing. The community center was a great experience. You can not go to Capetown, South Africa and view this area . You will continue to be blind to the reality of the townships.
This tour was the highlight of my visit. After visiting Robben island it was important to see the townships and the history of apartheid in person. Save your souvenir shopping- you will go to the township’s community center where you meet the local artists and can purchase from them directly. We asked if we could also purchase gifts at a local store for the children and had an amazing time passing out coloring books, colored pencils, balls and games to the local kids. $100 goes so far in spreading joy and makes you feel so good. Remmy was our private tour guide and he was awesome. Thank you for this day, I will never forget it!
We appreciate your wonderful review. Indeed the Township tour is an eye-opening experience second to none. Thank you and see you on your next tour with us.
The transfer with Remmy was very pleasant! We received water for the trip and lots of interesting historical and current information about Cape Town and South Africa. Remmy designed our trip to be very tailored to our needs and interests. Thank you!
Great experience, with Nela as our guide! Learned a much about the history of the township Thank you!
Hello Thank you for taking the time to review our Township experience. We are glad you learned a lot about our South African townships and you had a taste of their lifestyle. It is an enlightening experience indeed. Cheers!!
Such a amazing experience i had at Langa , nice energy thanks to the guy for the tour , it was amazing⚡
Great cultural knowledge, seeing and talking to real people who experienced all what was explained during the tour, and learning a bit of the Xhosa language.that was fantastic . learnt also about King Langalibalele who was imprisoned coming all the way from Zululand
It was a very interactive and informative experience. We also learnt the culture of the Xhosa people including circumcision and how they treat their family members after this ritual. We also saw the great job by the city of Cape Town who are replacing the shacks with a better accommodation. This is tge very informative tour and I'll do recommend to anyone who want to learn about South Africans especially the Xhosas
Reading about the townships in South Africa is one and visiting is totally different. On our visit of Langa we were brought face to face with township life. It was a great experience as it involved party driving with most of it covered on foot. The interaction we had was totally amazing as we were taken around by a Xhosa tourist guide Zamile who grew up in the township. He took us to the first township hostels and we had an opportunity to interact with the locals. This was a well planned tour by Raw Tours. We also visited an African witchdoctor which was quiet fascinating Lots of history and culture to learn. Highly recommend.
A dive into local culture, guide knowledge and township food with deep cultural music provides an unmatched opportunity to being South africanised
Hi Sirdicchi Thank you for your review. Indeed the Township Tour is a deep dive into the rich South African culture. We are glad that you were both entertained and informed by the experience. Thank you. Regards Team Raw Tours
