Tour às Ilhas Uros e Taquile em uma lancha rápida

If you have only one day in Puno...take this trip! We had an excellent tour guide, Heber, and captain. Heber was knowledgeable, efficient, and a brilliant communicator in both English and Spanish. We enjoyed our visit to the Uros Islands....especially the explanations given about how the islands were formed and the lifestyle of the inhabitants. We were happy to purchase an item from the villager who showed us his home. Taquille was also a once in a lifetime adventure! Pretty steep climb up to the central plaza, where we were entertained with music and dancing. The artisans have a marketplace with lovely items ( fixed price), and no pressure to buy. Our lunch of quinoa soup and trout ( or omelette) with fries, rice and veggies was delicious. Heber gave additional information on the history and culture of the island people, which was fascinating. Clean bathrooms are available on the boat and in Taquille, but be sure to bring water and sunscreen. Thanks to Heber and all the Peruvians who hosted us for an exceptional introduction to life on Lake Titicaca.

The hotel pickup was punctual. The boat was very comfortable. The guide, John, gave a very interesting commentary. The tour was well-organized, and everything went according to plan. Lunch was tasty. The driver, Johnathan, operated the boat very professionally. Everything was great.

Excellent experience on the 1-day tour to Uros and Taquile. I loved getting to know the different cultures and traditions of the islands. The lunch was very good and the views of the lake were simply stunning. A completely recommendable experience!
