Tour Privado: Roma Antiga de Carro

We just completed this tour (August 2026) with a total of 11 family members based on a word of mouth recommendation. From the start, (months prior) Luca & Lucia were very responsive via email and went through all of our options in great detail, and helped us plan our tour which was taking place during Ferragosto, which had some challenges. Our group was limited on time as we flew into Rome for a cruise, and only had one full day and wanted to see as much as possible. We opted for the 8 hour tour and it did not disappoint. Our drivers, Max and Claudio were extremely knowledgeable and did not waste a minute of our 8 hours. They were a wealth of info and shared it from start to finish. The drivers were on time (8am), arrived with two air conditioned (ice cold) Mercedes trucks to fit our large group, and we were off to visit the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, Circus Maximus, the Colloseum (skip the line tickets), the Basilica of St. Paul, the Trevi Fountain, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the catacombs. We even fit in a couple of coffee stops and a stop for lunch. There is no way we could have organized seeing and learning this much in one day, and certainly not in the comfort in which we did. Worth every penny. A+ would absolutely recommend and looking forward to coming back to Rome one day when we have more time to see more and would absolutely use them again.

We had Juan take my family and I for a full day trip around Rome in a spacious, air conditioned van. Juan was extremely knowledgeable and had a ton of great stories. PRE was extremely communicative and even provided car seats for our young children upon request. This was actually our second time booking this Rome tour with PRE (the last time was in 2024), and both times have been amazing. Would definitely recommend

Chris was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment he greeted us at our hotel for pickup until he dropped us off, everything was seamless. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable from the start. His passion for the city really came through, and he shared so many interesting stories and local insights that made the experience even more memorable. We never felt rushed, and he made sure we got the most out of our time. A special mention as well to Luca, the owner, who took the time to personally call me prior to the trip to make sure the tour was exactly what we were looking for. That extra attention to detail really set the tone for a fantastic experience. This tour was a highlight of my family's first visit to Rome from the United States. Massimo was our driver and tailored our tour to make it interesting and insightful for our family including 3 kids who were engaged the entire day. Massimo was so knowledgeable! David was our guide through the Vatican, his eye for detail and pointing out all the insider items and secrets was fantastic. I without hesitation highly recommend. Luca, the owner, is an excellent communicator. If you want to feel like you have friend's who have lived in Rome a lifetime, book this tour!

Our driver was fantastic. He provided so much good information and helped us find a great lunch spot. We argued on a guided tour lie of the Vatican. Everything was arranged for us. This made for a stress free excursion with transport to/from our cruise. Pick up and drop off were right on time. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time with our driver Claudio. He had a wealth of knowledge and we left with a lot history of Rome. He was caring for my family and showed us as much as he could in the time that we had. I would highly recommend this company.

What a wonderful tour. We looked at several Rome excursions sponsored be the cruiseline but they were all rated moderately strenuous or difficult. We are able bodied senior citizens but long walks, steps and uneven pavement can be challenging. Luca promissed to get us close to the sites and he delivered. Guide was born and raised in Rome and got us closer than we expected. Vatican tour guide was excellent, I think he was an art professor at a local university. Rome is a beautiful city and the Vatican is spectacular. These guys did it right. With ramp to ramp service, a comfortable car and really entertaining and knowledgeable guides.

An amazing day with Claudio seeing Rome who is from the city. Great descriptions, lovely pace, and so knowledge. Never felt rushed or pressured and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend!!

I can’t even say enough amazing things about Cris, he is by far the best tour guide of Rome, it’s a mistake to not hire him. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome, and he helped fit all of must see places of the ancient city in one day. He was very good with our family, which included a 4 year old high maintenance little girl :-). He even taught us how to drink from a Roman fountain like a local!! If you want the best one day adventure in Rome, do this tour and hire Crus. I would give 100 stars if I could.
