A apenas 10 minutos de carro de Podgorica está o sítio arqueológico mais famoso da época romana – Doclea. A cidade foi construída para ocupar uma posição estratégica entre três rios e durante um certo período de sua existência foi a capital da Província Praevalitana que incluía o território do atual Montenegro. Hoje o fórum de uma cidade romana outrora muito importante contém restos de plástico de pedra, colunas, capitéis, epitáfios, termas, templos… Conheceremos como viviam os antigos romanos e descobriremos mais sobre diferentes épocas históricas de Podgorica e Montenegro.
Um dos mosteiros montenegrinos mais significativos e certamente o mais famoso e espetacular está localizado a cerca de 45 km de Podgorica a 900 metros acima do nível do mar, sob o penhasco íngreme da montanha Ostrog (de onde recebeu o nome). O mosteiro de aparência impressionante foi fundado em meados do século XVII por um monge e um superior de uma das eparquias da antiga Igreja Ortodoxa Sérvia – Vasilije, cujo culto se espalhou amplamente, de modo que o atual mosteiro se destaca como um dos ortodoxos mais visitados. centros espirituais em todo o mundo. É visitado por pessoas de diferentes religiões. Descobriremos mais sobre o papel da igreja na sociedade tradicional de Montenegro, o culto de São Vasilije e a pintura a fresco.
Após a visita a Ostrog e uma vez que descemos da montanha, faremos um passeio pelo parque natural Zeta, percorrendo o vale do rio com o mesmo nome, área declarada assim pela beleza de sua paisagem e rica biodiversidade. We had a great time Nino was very knowledgeable and gave us a great insight to the area. The Monastery was definitely worth the visit amazing place. We also went to Doclea Roman ruins and Zeta National Park both very interesting. We also had a fabulous fish lunch on the way back in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend this tour.

This was a fantastic tour, I think the best we did. Nino was so knowledgeable, kind, went at such a good pace, a great driver, passionate and the locations were amazing.
