Prestelli is the BEST Company to work with for private excursions! We have worked with them for two years straight and have taken several day trips ranging from wineries, to walking tours to Etna - we've had one bump in the road when our ship docked at the lesser known port which derailed our day, however Pasquale and his office team turned the disaster into a magnificent day! I would recommend Prestelli for any time you plan to be in Sicily - especially if you are coming into town for one day on a cruise - they will make sure you are back to the ship on time for boarding with a good 30 minutes to spare. We have tried everything - rearranging our plans, asking for special trips to buy specific items we want to bring home that are not traditional trinkets tourists ask about and we have always been treated with kindness and respect. I've even asked for a few favors ahead of returning to Sicily which they took care of for me as well. Their guides are well educated, intelligent, able to bring history to life and make your time together highly enjoyable. The drivers are familiar with the roads and clearly safe to be with - I would trust any of my family with them.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Archaeological Park and stroll thru Ortigia with Biagio. He is so passionate about the history of the Greek and Roman area and speaks perfect English. My husband is a little bit slow walking and Biagio easily accommodated his needs all the while sharing tidbits of history and information about the archaeological area and later in Ortigia. Since we were staying in Ortigia he pointed out shops we might want to return to and mentioned restaurants along the way. In all, it was a very memorable day!
Great way to see a lot in a short amount of time with a guided tour. He was great and very knowledgable of the area, and took us to a fantastic lunch spot!
Absolutely perfect day with Biagio for our first ever trip to Syracuse! We were promptly greeted at our hotel and enjoyed a short drive to the Archeological Park. Biagio is not only polite and informative but he clearly is passionate about the history and love for his home. Also his singing voice in the cave was just an extra special experience. Then after we drove to walk around Ortigia to see all of the highlights of the island with not only a knowledgeable local guide but humor and great conversation. Lunch was perfect and the food delicious with so many options we couldn’t even finish it without being stuffed. I recommend the tour for anyone who would like to experience local authentic Syracuse for the day!

Nice tour of Syracuse and Ortigia with timely transportation and itinerary as stated. Lunch at local restaurant was generous portions and authentic. Would recommend.
We had the pleasure of touring Ortigia with the most wonderful guide, Biagio Giaccone through Prestelli tours. Prestelli were very easy and flexible to work with. Biagio was incredibly knowledgable, informative, interesting and fun. He was such a pleasure to spend time with provided an insiders perspective to the beautiful and rich history, culture, and charm of Ortigia.
Corrado was a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide! He made the day interesting and enjoyable for all six of us, ages 61 to 74. The restaurant chosen for this tour is a very popular one for locals - always a good sign. It was busy but both the food and service were wonderful! I would recommend this tour to anyone!
Biagio was not only a driver and guide, but also an incredible wealth of knowledge about the history of Siracusa and Sicily's relationship to the world. Biagio's explanations at the Greek archeological site made viewing the ruins come alive regarding the construction and uses of the various structures there. One particular highlight was in the Ear of Dyonisius cave. In a strong and well pitched baritone, he sang Italian, French, and Spanish songs the echoes were incredible. After our visit to Greek archeological site, we then went to Ortigia island. Because Biagio has been a life long inhabitant of Ortigia, not only did he show us the major sites on the island, but also the curious or hidden beauty places on the island. As part of the tour, Biagio took us to the restaurant Tempio di Athena where we had an excellent luncheon together. After the tour, my wife and I agreed that we were extremely fortunate to meet Biagio who is a gentleman and a warm, friendly person. We highly recommend this tour.
My brother advised me to take the BIAGGIO guide and we were delighted! He speaks impeccable French (but also German and English!), he is very cultured, funny, lively… And he has plenty of surprises in store during the visit! A real joy. We RECOMMEND it to you with your eyes closed!!
