Dominik was a great driver for us. Easy to talk to with good English. He took us to Harburg first and we quickly walked around the castle and he took us to a panoramic point. We wanted to spend more time in Rothenburg and glad we did. Spent 3.5 hours there and it was a wonderful city with so much to do. So glad we did this!

Dominik was a great driver and took us to the Harburg Castle. We walked around quickly and he took us to a panoramic point to get a great view of the castle. Then on to Rothenburg. We wanted to spend more time there. Rothenburg was amazing and so glad we had 3.5 hours there. So much to see. Dominik was great to communicate with.

We went to Rodenburg and even though all the shops were closed for low season, we had a great time. Bakery was outstanding! Our driver was the very best!!!

The tour states English speaker private tour guide, but we had a driver who did not speak and understand English. Harburg was closed and we were not informed ahead of time.

Our regular drivers communicate comfortably in English; however, due to the high-demand December period and a last-minute operational adjustment, we had to assign a substitute driver from outside our usual partner network. This appears to have impacted the level of English you experienced, and we sincerely apologize for that. Regarding Harburg Castle, its closure was a last-minute decision, and unfortunately we were not notified in advance. We always advise guests to double-check opening hours and site operations, as we are not always informed of every attraction’s schedule or of the specific sightseeing plans each client intends to follow. We appreciate your understanding, and we will review this situation with our local partners to help prevent similar issues in the future. Thank you again for your feedback. If I could give lower than a 1, I would! “Tour guide (George)” showed up late. Looked like he hadn’t even showered. The van was dirty. He didn’t even tell us his name when we got in. Told us nothing about the town we were going to. When we asked him, he said he didn’t know the history. He dropped us outside of the city center. We had to go into a coffee shop to ask where to go. He brought us to the next town and stopped on the side of the road Told us the castle was up the hill. When I asked him if the castle was open, he said he didn’t know. I then asked him if there was a town with shops and what not, he said he had never been there. At that point I told him to bring us back to our hotel. I paid over $800 for this tour. Absolutely horrible!
Dear Brian, Thank you for sharing your review. We must firmly clarify the actual course of events. Our driver arrived on time and attempted several times to start friendly conversation. It became clear your group preferred not to engage, so he respected that. You slept most of the drive to Rothenburg. Upon arrival, he dropped you as close to the pedestrian-only center as vehicles are legally permitted, and you mutually agreed on where to meet later. Although the tour includes a 2-hour stop, you requested to leave after only one hour, and the driver fully adjusted the plan at your request. During the entire drive toward Harburg, you were occupied with a Zoom court call. To avoid interrupting you, the driver reasonably kept communication minimal. When arriving in Harburg, you declined to visit, stated the castle was closed and uninteresting, and instructed him to drive straight back to Munich — which he did immediately, again following your instructions. It is also important to clarify that this service is a private transfer with an English-speaking driver, not a licensed guided tour. Expecting guide-level narration falls outside the scope of the service booked. Additionally, this particular driver is assigned to this route regularly and has never experienced any communication issues or complaints. On the contrary — he consistently receives positive feedback for professionalism and reliability. From our internal review, the driver followed all regulations and delivered the service exactly as described. The shortened itinerary, limited interaction, and early return were direct results of decisions made by your group throughout the day. Harburg castle was closed in December, so I did Dachau instead. The drive was beautiful and I got to enjoy the Christmas market in Rothenburg (went on a week day). Yurii was incredibly friendly, attentive, and spoke flawless English. He offered some great recommendations for things to do, making the trip not only more enjoyable but also memorable. His helpfulness truly enhanced the overall experience.

Tommy consistently stayed in excellent communication with us from start to finish. He picked us up at our hotel and we were off to Harburg Castle. We were very lucky to get put with a prearranged group tour of the castle that was in English. If you go to the castle, you must do the tour otherwise it is not that impressive. After that we headed out saw Dinkelsbühl (adorable) and then Rothenburg. Tommy was a wealth of information & showed us so many interesting facets of the town. He presented options for food which our group was excited to enjoy. Also took us to the largest Christmas store. One thing to note, many shops were closed as it was a Sunday so don’t do the tour on a Sunday if shopping is huge priority.
