O Castelo Aragonês é uma fortificação que se ergue numa ilha de rocha traquítica localizada no lado oriental da ilha de Ischia, ligada por uma ponte de alvenaria de 220 m de comprimento à antiga aldeia de Celsa, conhecida como Ischia Ponte. O ilhéu onde foi construído o castelo deriva de uma erupção sináptica ocorrida há mais de 300 mil anos. Atinge uma altura de 113 metros acima do nível do mar e cobre uma área de aproximadamente 56.000 m². Geologicamente é uma bolha de magma que se consolidou durante fenômenos eruptivos e é definida como uma “cúpula de estagnação”.
Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, no município de Serrara Fontana, é uma antiga vila piscatória que se estende em frente ao característico ilhéu de Ischia. É a característica vila mediterrânea com todas as casas coloridas empoleiradas no cume da montanha, encostadas umas nas outras e com vista para o maravilhoso panorama do mar cristalino de Ischia.
Situa-se num pequeno promontório sobranceiro ao mar e é dedicado ao culto da Madonna della Neve; é branco, destaca-se de longe e representa a clássica construção mediterrânica. O promontório Soccorso em Forio não abriga apenas a Igreja, ao lado está o Torrione, símbolo de Forio e sede do museu.

Nunzio was a wonderful guide with easy pick up and drop off. He took us around, sharing interesting facts along the way. Great opportunities to swim along the way and see the caves. Wonderful hidden gem of a lunch stop, too. We also engaged Nunzio to take us for a sunset ride and to and from the Naples Airport. Excellent service!

We had an amazing experience on this tour to Capri and Ischia! Everything was very well organized from start to finish, and the itinerary gave us the perfect amount of time to explore both islands.
