Excellent 1/2 day private excursion to Chartres Cathedral with driver and experienced guide included. Very interesting and energetic visit to Chartres with lots of history and detail. If you are determined to visit Chartres from Paris, this is an excellent option.
We were looking forward to visiting Chartres for a year and weren’t disappointed. The cathedral is breath taking and Lillit, our guide, was the perfect interpreter of the stories told in the stained glass windows and provided historical details of building and rebuilding of the cathedral. She followed our interests and managed to share her knowledge while supporting our interests as difference aspects of the cathedral caught our attention. We also had the time to see the medieval town center and visit the open market and shops. The drive from Paris to Chartres was an opportunity to set up our tour and see the countryside. Nicolai, our driver, even provided interesting details on Paris infrastructure on the drive to Chartres and a relaxing playlist on the way home. Highly recommend and ask for Lillit!

Viator does not stand by their obligations to its customers. When there is a problem as we had with a driver who took off after we were 7 minutes late. There is no one to call. It is shameful. The website gives you a link to get a refund and the link doesn’t work. DON’T USE THEM!

It was a last minute booking to see Chartes. Very good driver. Guide was adequate but could have been more interactive and present more information.

Caroline was super friendly and. Informative. The drive out from Paris is mellow 90 minutes. I suggest adding an hour to your tour so you can take a break, have some lunch and refresh yourself for more information about this marvelous place.

Absolutely amazing stain glass and so much too! Beautiful cathedral nestled in a quaint little French town. Built in the 12th century is more amazing than Norte Dame in many ways.
