Visita à península de Westerplatte - o local onde a Segunda Guerra Mundial começou. De 1926 a 1939, foi o local de um Depósito de Trânsito Militar da Polônia (WST), sancionado no território da Cidade Livre de Danzig. Em 1 de setembro de 1939, o navio de guerra Schleswig-Holstein abriu fogo contra a guarnição polonesa sem nenhum aviso. Sete dias depois, o major Henryk Sucharski decidiu se render, devido à falta de munição e suprimentos.
A Defesa dos Correios da Polônia em Danzig foi um dos primeiros atos da Segunda Guerra Mundial na Europa, como parte da Invasão da Polônia. Vamos dar uma olhada no edifício histórico e nos defensores do monumento dos correios poloneses.

This is an exceptional tour that should not be missed. Our tour guide Maciej Snarski brought history to life for us. We had time constraints but he worked out the best itinerary for us. He had cool drinks and snacks to refresh us and took us for a marvelous local lunch so we could enjoy polish cuisine. What a great day of learning about the country and the history.

Maciej was a pleasure to listen to as our tour guide! He had such excellent knowledge of his subject and provided interesting detail about the sites we visited. We had stops at the old Synagogue, Shakespeare Theatre, Polish Post Office, Victoria School, Kinder Transport Memorial, Stutthoff, Stegna and Westerplatte, so it way a full day. Excellent Matthew was amazing . He was very good explaining all the important events. From old town to Westerplatte. Very knowledgeable and kept the young adult and adults asking questions. It felt good to see the interaction and the learning that was taking place. I highly recommend this tour.
