A full day of Hernan Satt (founder of MMT) in the Prado, on the road and up and down the hills of Toledo was fabulous. His knowledge, ability to bring painting, architecture, and history to life and relevance was a treasured experience. The Prado exploration of Spanish masters was fascinating. Understanding the lives and times of the artists, the motivations for individual painting subjects and style will make all my future visits to any museum more valuable. After the Prado and a quick lunch, we traveled by car to Toledo. Hernan was a patient and helpful conversationalist with my husband as he practiced his Spanish language skills all the way there. Toledo has a rich and unusual history. We walked the town with lengthy stops at the Cathedral and other important sites. The Burial of Count Orgaz by El Greco was a particular highlight for this art lover. There were many prospects for panoramic photography and smaller shots of the more interesting historic neighborhoods and streets. As with all Madrid Museum Tours the experience was special. The depth of learning coupled with the fun of spending time with an expert in an unknown place is unforgettable. Thank you, Hernan.

My wife and I took one of Museum Madrid’s van tours. It was just us, so we were in a comfortable electric car driven by our guide, Hernan Satt, the owner of the company. Mr. Satt is a scholar with a deep knowledge of Spanish art and history. The tour focused on Madrid’s various neighborhoods – not just the city center. Mr. Satt explained the culture and history each neighborhood. This was a great introduction to the city and gave us good ideas for things to do later in our stay. We considered doing one of the many Tuk-Tuk tours. Having seen them, they look like more like an amusement park ride than a serious introduction to the city. I’m sure they can be fun, but am happy we opted for Madrid Museum Tours. Because we did the tour on the day we arrived in Madrid and knew we would be tired from the trip, we just did the tour without going to any of the museums. If I were doing it again, I would probably do the tour on the second day and include one of the museums – probably the Prado. Lastly, dealing with Madrid Museum Tours was extremely easy. They were responsive to my email questions and worked to tailer the tour to our interests.

My wife and I did not know what to expect for this tour of Toledo. We only knew that good friends of ours had taken the tour earlier this year and highly recommended it to us. We're glad they did. The tour, given by Hernan, was incredibly detailed and rich in the history of Toledo. In particular, Hernan made sure that we were exposed to parts of Toledo's fascinating history, sites, and sights based on our Jewish heritage. Additionally, he made sure that we experienced the tastes of Toledo for lunch and a beautiful vista for coffee and pastries. There was no shortage of Hernan's enthusiasm for Toledo, and he made sure to share that with us through the tour. We highly recommend his company for this unique personal experience.

Mr. Hernan is an excellent tour guide, he showed us the highlights of the Prado museum taking extra care to make sure our 13-year old daugher was included and taught us a great deal about the great artists of the periods. Giving a great deal of background stories about each painting. After the Prado he drove us to Toledo and epxlained the interesting history of the town and showed all the sites we wanted to see.
