Tour Outlander

Stewart was amazing. He picked us up from Cruise terminal and drove us to 4 castles from Outlanders. He not only drove us but he was a tour guide through each with amazing facts about the castle and the part it played in history and the show. I absolutely recommend this tour.

Stewart did not disappoint! Although 2 of the outlander locations on our tour were closed for filming Stewart was quick to find other fantastic places to visit. He truly went out of his way to share his knowledge and favorite places. I would highly recommend Stewart and any of his tours. We will be sure to book again when we return.

I cannot say enough great things about Stewart on our outlander day tour. He made it so convenient. We were porting in greenock off of a cruise and booked this independently. He was very responsive, gave me all the information in a timely fashion and i felt very taken care of. He has the best personality & was a lot of fun! It was the trip of a lifetime and he made sure we were back in time to reboard the ship with no worries on our part. He was so knowledgeable about the series but also the history of everywhere we went!

Stuart was amazing from first contact online thru our tour! I arranged a private tour with him to 3 castles in Outlander for my husband and I when our cruise ship stopped in Scotland 1 day. He created a timeline and itinerary specific for our ships times. My husband had no knowledge of Outlander before this and loved Stuart and truly enjoyed the whole day! Stuart even introduced us to a local Scottish beverage and had snacks for us for the day. He was a true pleasure and made our day in Scotland remarkable. I would highly recommend him- you will not be disappointed!

Our personal tour of Doune Castle, Blackness Castle, and Midhope Castle was absolutely charming and everything I had hoped for in touring the Outlander filming sites. Stewart, our guide, was amazing at pointing out historical facts and discussing Outlander storylines at each destination. He was kind enough to take pictures for our family so we would have quality photos of our trip. I fan-girled pretty hard at Midhope Castle (Lalybroch site) and could not get enough of the natural landscape of the outlying areas. For anyone that is a hardcore Outlander fan, this is definitely what you are looking for to have the ultimate Outlander experience.

Our Outlander Tour day with Stewart Gunn of Tartan Tours was one of the highlights of our 12 day self tour of Scotland. Stewart brings not only humor and stories of Scottish history but tidbits of Outlander background as well to the tour. From "Castle Leoch" to "Fort William" to "Lallybroch" and "Inverness" we enjoyed every location while learning about the real folks that lived there as well as our favorite Fraser clan. Even the Scottish weather cooperated and bright sunshine and blue skies appeared as the day progressed. We highly recommend Stewart and Tartan Tours for not only a fun day but one rich with history, humor, laughter and joy while visiting the much loved sites of our Outlander family. If there was any disappointment it was not finding Jaime and Claire at home!
