O Azerbaijão tem o maior número de vulcões de lama de qualquer país, espalhados amplamente por todo o país. 350 dos 700 vulcões do mundo estão na República do Azerbaijão.
Em 1846, sob a supervisão do conselheiro estadual V.N. Semyonov, um engenheiro Alekseev, perfurou um poço de 21 m de profundidade usando um mecanismo primitivo de perfuração de percussão, em Bibiheybət para explorar petróleo, com resultados positivos. Mais de uma década depois, em 27 de agosto de 1859, o "Coronel" Edwin L. Drake encontrou petróleo em solo americano pela primeira vez.
O Ateshgah de Baku, muitas vezes chamado de "Templo do Fogo de Baku", é um templo religioso semelhante a um castelo na cidade de Surakhany, um subúrbio de Baku, no Azerbaijão. Com base em inscrições persas e indianas, o templo foi usado como local de culto hindu, sikh e zoroastrista.
Yanardagh (Montanha em chamas) é um fogo de gás natural que arde continuamente em uma encosta na Península Absheron, no Mar Cáspio, perto de Baku, capital do Azerbaijão (um país que é conhecido como "a Terra do Fogo").

We visited Baku from June 6th to 9th, Said did a great job. We are very happy with the airport pick up and drop off service and one day Baku suburb tour which included the Mud volcano， Gobustan rock paiting, Fire temple and Yanardag. The van was in a good condition, the driver and guide were very professional and the cost was reasonable. People enjoyed the time in Baku, really reliable tour company. We would definitely recommend the service!

My travel experience is with Absheron was great. Everything was planned as it was read over to me (hotels, car, tours). I would definitely be travelling with Absheron in future. We spend 8 days in Azerbaijan, our driver & tour guide was Ilqar-Viano from Absheron Travel Agency. He showed us his country: Gabala & Shaki region, Guba region and Gibustan, Absheron & Mud volcanos. We had a tour in Baku as well. His English & Russian is perfect, so we do not had problem with communication. He showed us good restaurants in mamy places. It was a 7 nights package tour of Azerbaijan arranged by Mr. Said Seyidov of Absheron covering Baku, Qabala, Tufandag, Sheki, Quba, Shadag, Gobustan. Itenary was well planned to cover all the places at leisure. Fantastic Hotels with good car and nice driver Mr. Ilqar. Overall experience was five star without any negative to even think about. I whole heartedly recommend Absheron for a very good package tour at a very competitve cost.
Visiting Baku was an incredible experience, but what also made it unforgettable was Sayed- an amazing travel host and guide. He made every location and food we had with him come alive with fascinating details and stories. His warmth, friendlies and knowledge made the whole experience very comfortable. It gives me immense pleasure to recommend Absheron Travel Agency a sincere, committed and a truly professional tour operator agency. We just completed a week long trip in Azerbaijan which includes travel to various places. Started from Baku city tour of all the famous sightseeing spots then went to Qechresh forest, Afurdzhi Waterfalls (Mastidargah) then we stayed in Quba for two nights. We went to Qusar and further up to Shahdag mountain resort where we enjoyed different activities. They took us to Chanlibel lake and then we back to Baku. Next morning we started our tour to Gabala where we had one night stay and went up to Tufandag mountain resort where we enjoyed cable car and other activities. They took us to Nohur lake. Each and everything was perfectly organized as per the given plan and there were no surprises for us.
