We had a fantastic private day tour with IGO on our visit to Lisbon. Our group of seven friends thoroughly enjoyed the journey to Évora and Monsaraz. Pedro A. was an outstanding guide, providing punctual pickup, safe driving, and a very comfortable car. He shared just the right amount of history about Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula, while keeping things engaging. We especially loved seeing the largest man made lake in Europe and enjoying an excellent lunch at Taverna Os Templários, a hidden gem we would never have found alone. Highly recommended, we would book again without hesitation in future.

We had an excellent private tour to Évora and Monsaraz. Our guide was highly knowledgeable about the Iberian Peninsula and Portugal’s rich history, which added real depth to the experience. He was punctual, attentive throughout the day, and made us feel completely at ease with his safe and professional driving. A highlight was his recommendation for lunch at Taverna Os Templários—an outstanding choice that we likely wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Overall, a well-organized and memorable tour that I would confidently recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience on this tour to Évora and Monsaraz! I went with my family and went everything perfectly from the first moment. The guide was super friendly, attentive and very professional, always available to explain everything in detail and make the day even more special. You notice that you like what you do. The company handled everything impeccably, which allowed us to relax and take the most of the experience without worrying. It was a very well spent day, with beautiful landscapes, good food and unforgettable moments. I highly recommend to those who want to know Alentejo in a comfortable and authentic way!

We had a wonderful day in our tour of Évora. Our guide, Carlos, was amazing. We went to all the sites. Monsaraz, in the top of the hill, with the castle. We visited Bones chapel and Roman temple in Evora. Great lunch and the very friendly Carlos was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about history. Very good 🥰

Miguel, Miguel, Miguel! THE MAN OF THE HOUR! He had extensive knowledge on the history of both Monsarez and Evora and was SUCH a pleasure to ride with! He was able to answer any and all questions we had on multiple different topics, not only on Monsaraz & Evora. He didn't rush us to the next location and let us thoroughly enjoy our time at each landmark throughout the tour. Even providing us some Easter eggs, such as the stork condominium that you'd only be able to see with Miguel 👀 and much more! If you're a history buff/ want to learn more about Portugal/ want to just have fascinating conversations with an intriguing individual, this tour with Miguel is what you've been searching for! Being in a car with a stranger could be daunting for anyone, but Miguel made us all feel extremely comfortable and welcomed. A fact that was especially important to our super introverted friend who doesn't like speaking with strangers, but ended up talking the most out of all of us! P.S. all of us agreed that the wine tasting on this tour was way better than all of the wine tastings we had throughout this trip

Pedro M. was our guide for our private tour for 2. Pedro picked us up and dropped us off from our short term rental. He was very knowledgeable and personable the entire trip, which included about 4 hours of car time round trip including Monsaraz. Pedro provided details and context to almost everything we saw including Portuguese history, religion, architecture, agriculture and more. Would highly recommend requesting his services and booking a private tour was worth it to us. The tour itself was lovely, Monsaraz had great views and quaint shops. We bought many locally made artisan items including pottery, delights, fibers, liquors, and wines. The Bone Chapel and Roman Temple were beautiful testaments to the history of the area.

We had a really great day in Évora with I Go Portugal, and our guide Sonia was fantastic. The tour was well organized but never felt rushed, which made it easy to just enjoy the city. Sonia was friendly, easy to talk to, and knew a lot about Évora’s history without making it feel like a history lesson. She shared interesting stories and little details that made places like the Roman Temple, the Cathedral, and the Chapel of Bones even more enjoyable. She was also very flexible and happy to answer questions, plus she gave us some great tips on where to eat and what to explore on our own. Overall, it was a smooth, fun, and informative experience. Highly recommend I Go Portugal, and especially Sonia, if you’re visiting Évora!
