We had an absolutely wonderful tour of Pompeii with Roberta. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and fantastic with our children. It was an extremely hot day, but she managed to keep everyone interested and attentive throughout the entire tour, which is no small achievement! Roberta brought the history of Pompeii to life in a way that was both educational and entertaining, making the experience enjoyable for adults and children alike. Her enthusiasm, patience, and ability to connect with our family made the tour truly memorable. We would highly recommend Roberta to anyone visiting Pompeii, especially families with children. She was an exceptional guide and made our visit to Pompeii one of the highlights of our trip!
Our tour guide Cle was excellent. She kept all of us engaged (11 year old, 13 year old, 46 year old and 66 year old), showed and explained to us the most interesting sites we would have missed on our own and helped us pet the stray cats that live in Pompeii.
Our tour guide Maria was amazing. She was so kind and very interesting. She kept both ours and our kids attention through out the tour with fascinating stories and facts.
Lello was absolutely amazing with the kids. So knowledgeable and inspiring. We had a wonderful morning walking through the ruins and all learning so much about Pompeii's history. It was great to get past all the queues and it wasn't too hot even in July as we started at 9am and were ready for a trip to the beach after lunch.
Our tour guide made this a great experience for the entire family. She kept their attention and brought Pompei to life!!!
We had an amazing guided tour with our archeologist guide Lelo. He was knowledgeable, made the ruins come alive with his story telling, and made the tour highly enjoyable for our kids. Highly recommend!
When searching for options for day trips to Pompeii, the private Pompeii tour for kids stood out among the rest. I sent an email and Maria responded in less than 24 hours with all the details for the tour and how to proceed with booking. My husband and I agreed this was the perfect option to allow our six and eight year old boys to explore Pompeii and take the pressure off us to figure out how to navigate the large site. We opted for the transfer from Positano for the morning of our visit. Maria texted the night before to confirm all details and sent us our driver's name and contact information. Marco arrived on time to the designated meeting spot. He was friendly and professional. He pointed out fun facts as we drove in and offered to make us a lunch reservation after our tour of Pompeii at a local farm to table spot. We arrived to Pompeii where we met Roberta. How lucky we were to have Roberta as our tour guide. She is from the area which means she has much knowledge and she is a local teacher which was evident in how she engaged our boys throughout the tour and addressed my little ones disruptive behavior. My family would not have known where to begin without Roberta. My husband and I are so thankful for her as we had a lovely experience in Pompeii where we learned many interesting facts and saw the highlights the site had to offer in a kid friendly timeline. We then headed to lunch after completing the tour before returning to Positano. The lunch spot recommend by Marco was fantastic. Maria, Marco and Roberta, thank you all for making the entire experience such a memorable one. We had a wonderful time with our guide exploring highlights of Pompeii. It was a private tour for just the 4 of us. She was able to give us a real sense of what life was like for the people there. She was funny, very likeable and very knowledgeable. The length of the tour was about right for our family - we were able to stay behind at the end of the tour to explore independently but only looked at a couple of other things before we left. Meeting at the meeting point was a little stressful as it is very busy outside the main gates. Getting in with the guide was very smooth without any queuing.
Loretta was amazing. She kept the kids engaged and all of us smiling and enjoying the tour. What an awesome tour for our family. Well worth it.
Amazing, child friendly tour guide. Very knowledgeable and able to adapt tour based on what we had already seen
