Nossa jornada começa com uma viagem para o coração da cidade de Falmouth. Ao longo do passeio discutiremos a história da comida, sua relevância atual em nossa sociedade e os ingredientes e processos que usamos para cozinhar. Também faremos uma parada no KFC para experimentar o hotspot de fast food americano mais popular que foi adotado pelo maciço jamaicano. Um "road crabby" é um termo brincalhão usado para descrever a instalação improvisada de um vendedor de beira de estrada jamaicano para vender caranguejo fresco e temperado. Normalmente encontrados ao longo de estradas costeiras ou perto de vilas de pescadores, esses vendedores montam pequenas barracas rústicas ou até mesmo estendem um cobertor na beira da estrada para exibir sua fartura.
Nossa parada aqui permite que você experimente o mundialmente famoso fast food jamaicano que é apreciado pelos moradores locais como café da manhã, almoço ou jantar. Os hambúrgueres são um alimento básico na dieta diária jamaicana.

We recently vacationed in Jamaica and stayed at a lovely resort, but we knew that we also wanted to book some off-resort excursions so that we could experience Jamaica from a locals perspective. Das was the perfect tour guide! We absolutely loved that this was a private tour and it was nice getting to be able to talk with Das one-on-one vs being lost in a crowd. 1. We visited KFC (which we were shocked about because we didn’t realize how big of thing KFC is in Jamaica) and WOW, let me tell you - one bite and it immediately took us back to the KFC in the US back in the 90s when their chicken used to taste like that. Soooooo sooooo good! 2. Next up with Juici Patties! Let’s just say I’ve had Jamaican patties before - but never anything that tasted like these. We got the chicken, beef, and the cheese - and they were all a 10/10. Zero notes!!!! Sooo good that I took some back to the resort to eat later in the day…..and they were just as good then as they were during our first bite. 3. Lastly, we went to Out A Road Crabby and even though we are now back in the U.S. I can still taste the food from this lovely local gem. The broth in the soup we had is something that I will never forget. The next time I’m in Jamaica - the moment I get off the plane, I’m going straight to Out A Road Crabby. Das, THANK YOU for taking such good care of us. We enjoyed our time with you and we wish you nothing but continued success. Everyone reading this - just go ahead and book this tour, you won’t be sorry!!!

Went in the food tour with Mama G and she took us to 3 wonderful places to eat local cuisine! She also gave us a tour of the sites.
