Tour de 7 Dias da Sicília Semi-Privado

We visited the Taormina area while in Sicily and decided on this package of three tours. Communication with the tour company was excellent throughout and every aspect of the administration was professional, thanks to Graziana. On first day was the Taormina food and wine tour. We were met by Alfredo at the Porta Messina gate and then walked across the street to a series of wine and food pairings in a courtyard restaurant. The selection of both the fish courses and the different white wines were amazing, narrated in an engaging style by Alfredo. I would note that he was an expert storyteller, giving not only facts, but humorous insights and glimpses into the area's history and opportunities. We then moved to a wine bar for a selection of red wines with meat and cheese pairings. The atmosphere was lively and the selections again were very high quality. To end we went to a cafe for dessert, with three different desserts paired with three different liqueurs - an incredible end to a fun evening. We rolled downhill to Porta Messina gate to catch a taxi back to our hotel. The second day was The Godfather tour. We visited two villages featured in the three movies and heard of the productions and their impact on the area. Denise was a fun and informative guide, who narrated our tour up and down the sides of the mountains, both in the expertly piloted shuttle and by foot through the hilly streets. We were able to visit Michael's village and saw Bar Vitelli, churches that featured prominently, and streets and squares where characters had walked. We even caught a glimpse of the local actress who played Apollonia's mom, who still lives in the village. We finished the day with a sumptuous meal and free-flowing wine. The final day was the Mt Etna food and wine tour. We visited two wineries to see two different - one large, high production winery and one small, family-owned one. At the first, we had a curated pairing of cheeses, antipasto and four wines - two white and two red - in addition to our welcoming glass of prosecco we had while looking over the terraced vineyard. At the second, we had a sit down meal of fresh pasta on the patio of the estate and enjoyed pitchers of red and white house wine that never seemed to get empty. Again, between stops Denise expertly explained the history of the area and the terroir that makes such excellent wines. She also generously took the time to advise us on other activities and sights to see around Sicily. Overall, this was a outstanding experience. We went as a couple, but our companions on the first day were two long-time school friends (spending an evening away from their husbands) and for the second and third days was a multi-family outing with adult children. So the tour was excellent for adults (due to the importance of wine at each stop) without serious mobility issues (due to the hilly nature of the terrain). We would definitely recommend it for anyone who meets these two criteria.

We had the absolute best time on all of our tours with Sicily activities! We cannot rave enough about our guides, they were amazing. Valerio, Carlos and Denise were beyond knowledgeable, kind, accommodating and fun. We were traveling with our 1 year old baby and they were so sweet to make sure that baby was happy the entire time. The walking food and history tour of Taormina was incredible, full of amazing eats and tons of history. The Etna wine tour was incredible with the best views, snacks, wine and lunch afterwards. Our tour to Syracuse and Ortigia was stunning. There was so much history to see in such a beautiful town, capped off with a beautiful lunch. The Godfather tour was also so fun, we saw so many of the places in the movie and soaked in all of the beauty and history, also with an amazing lunch. We can’t say enough about the company and how wonderful they were always checking in to make sure we were happy. We highly recommend this company, their fabulous tours and most amazing guides to make your trip to Sicily complete!

Rosario and Valerio have been beautiful interpreters of Sicilian culture. We feel included and for foreigners that is the ultimate joy.

Taormina is a jewel of a city and Sicily Activities helped make it special. Antonio and Valerio are great ambassadors and excellent tour guides. The walking wine and Godfather tours were a highlight.

This is a very good choice because you do save money by booking the three together and these tours covered most of what we wanted to do in Taormina. We did the food tour on our first evening. The guide, Salvo, was excellent; really interestiung, entertaining and interested in his guests. He's clearly passionate about his job, friendly and highly professional. He allowed the different parties on the tour to mix and enjoy each otehrs company. The three stops were all very good; nice food and wine and all explained clearly. The second trip was the Etna food and wine tour. We were lucky to have Salvo again and again he managed to get all of the differnt parties talking and enjoying the day. The winery was beautful with excellent service, generous tastings and delicious food. This was followed by a stop at a beautiful restaurant, again with great local wine and a tasty meal. The final trip was the Godfather tour - fun, informative, a nice meal and an interesting guide (sorry I don't recall his name).
