Todas as manhãs, antes do sol nascer; quando as luzes da rua de Calcutá se apagam, começamos o tour da hora mágica para ver Calcutá acordar. Embarcamos no primeiro ônibus do dia no bairro mais antigo de Calcutá quando a cidade entra na encantadora Hora Mágica. Percorrendo a sonolenta localidade de 300 anos a todo vapor, as próximas horas são gastas visitando as áreas mais antigas de Calcutá. Antes que a movimentada cidade gigante acordasse, teríamos usado todos os meios de transporte icônicos, tomado café da manhã em um local escondido centenário, fofocado sobre Calcutá como um local, conversado sobre sua história, antropologia e nos apaixonado desesperadamente pela cidade. A “visita não guiada” como a chamamos começa com Chai (chá) em bhaad (copos de barro) e termina com o tradicional café da manhã bengali, os melhores doces de Calcutá. Enjoyed a fantastic “magic hour” tour of Kolkata! One of the highlights of my trip to India!. The tour included both food (chai and separate breakfast) in local venues I never would have found on my own and incorporated local travel modes that also would have been difficult to navigate as a foreigner. Tour was so insightful and thoughtfully laid out. I would highly recommend and would go out of my way to take his other tours when back in Kolkata!!!
This was such an amazing tour! I got to watch the city early in the day, the layers. It was a walking tour mostly but I was also on a bus, a boat and it was such a unique experience with the locals. I loved the food, stories, flower market and learning about the goddess Kali. I highly recommend.

I believe the best time to visit anywhere is in the early morning so I booked this tour for my partner and myself. And here in Kolkata I was right! What an amazing tour. In a tough city to get to the nitty gritty you need a hand and joining Soham on the Magic hour tour was just the hand needed. He has put his heart and soul into this tour and his knowledge and passion about his home city was infectious. With a city like Kalkata you need to scratch deep for its magic once you see it you never forget it. Great tour great city. Get your lazy ass out of bed and book it! Highly recommended. Thanks 🙏🏽
Soham is lovely, do this tour! (Or any of his others!) He is knowledgeable, eloquent and engaging, and the time flew by very enjoyably. He is from Kolkata and obviously loves sharing his passion about it. He will point out things you otherwise wouldn’t notice. It was good to do this trip soon after we arrived to help us get our bearings and ask some general questions. We are very glad we booked it, and we are not early morning people!!!!

What an amazing tour! Thank you Soham for showing the hidden gems of the city (which as tourist I wouldn’t be able to know without the local’s knowledge), he is such a great storyteller that makes the whole experience interesting and fun.
