From the moment Roberta met us at the coffee shop - on time - we felt at ease due to her calm friendly manner with us and the children , she immediately engaged the children with a friendly competition between adults and kids and kept the interested with exciting stories /photos and facts about Pompeii and its history. The tour included all the best bits - we hadn’t realised how large the area was and were relieved Roberta knew how to avoid the crowds and show us the most interesting parts. Roberta was beautifully smart and presentable despite the heat! Thank you so much Roberta.

Claire kept everyone engaged the whole time and we learned so much. She is very sweet as well. Perfect length tour since Pompeii is huge. If you want to explore more, you can go on your own after the tour.

This was by far the best tour we have ever taken. Our archeologist guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history to vibrant life for kids and adults. I could not recommend more highly.

We had a wonderful experience with our guide who was easy to talk to, easy to find, and so flexible given we had gotten on the wrong train and arrived late from Naples. She kept things entertaining and explain the science of the volcano as well as the history of, not the archaeological site but of the town. I would highly recommend this tour if you have young children and our guide.

Lelo was the most knowledgeable tour guide! He made us feel like family and his passion for Pompei really shines through his tours. He was great with our kids and answered lots of questions!

This review is for Lello an archaeologist who gives small group tours around Pompeii. If we could give Lello 6 stars we would! We had booked the private tour “Pompeii Tour for Children with skip the line tickets and kid-friendly guide” operated by Orange Tours through Viator. Sadly our booked guide did not show up and no notice of his unavailability was given from Orange Tours before the meeting time. Happily for us, Lello could see we had been stood up and contacted our operator on our behalf and organised a refund and a spot for us in his group. The 8 people in his group kindly accepted us and we couldn’t have been luckier! Hard to imagine our original booked guide could have been better! Lello is an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and a great story teller who kept my 8 and 11 year olds engaged (as well as the other young kids on the tour). There are so many intricate details that I am sure you can’t pick up if you are walking through Pompeii on your own. This morning’s tour has been singled out as a highlight of both kids’ holiday. It was so hot it is hard to believe they paid attention but they were hooked!

We had so much fun. The arena was cool. The instructors were excellent. We loved it. Thanks so much.
