Our family thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Tim was a very knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about Tolkien and Lewis and saw many beautiful sites in Oxford. My 13-year-old daughter commented that the tour was a highlight for her.

Great tour by Eve! It was a small group of six - so easy to hear her and move around. We got to see several sights and she tied them all in with both Lewis and Tolkien. Great history. She also showed as several photos that helped us understand. Recommend this tour!

Tim was knowlegeable about Lewis and Tolkein, the colleges, Oxford history, and music at Oxford. We found him articulate and engaging. He catered to our interests and deviated from his initial plan to show us an exhibit at Magdalen College that was there for only a short time. We higly recommend this tour.
What a fun walk with Tim. He is deeply knowledgeable about Tolkein, Chaucer and the Inklings. He also dazzled us with his insights on Lewis Carroll. We arrived with jet lag , having gotten in from the States that morning. His walk was invigorating and kept us awake!

I did this tour yesterday and had a fantastic time. The weather was lovely and it was a great way to explore Oxford. Tim was a brilliant guide — really friendly and knowledgeable. He shared lots of fascinating stories and anecdotes about Tolkien, Lewis and Lewis Carroll. We saw several colleges along the way (at least three), and the tour finished with a more in-depth visit to Magdalen College, which was a great way to end it. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone interested in literature or just wanting a friendly and interesting walk around Oxford.

We enjoyed the most delightful afternoon with Tim. He retraced the steps of Lewis and Tolkien in excellent fashion with amazing places along the journey. He also did such a thorough job helping us understand life at Oxford University and a student’s life at the numerous colleges. We highly recommend this tour!
Thank you, Tim, for an absolutely enlightening and refreshing afternoon following the footsteps of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Tim is very familiar with and rooted in Oxford. It’s a great pleasure that he shares and discusses his broad knowledge and enthusiasm for two of Oxfords greatest literary figures with you. The 2,5 hours went by so fast that we didn’t even get the chance to talk about Alice and Lewis Carroll in depth. Hopefully, we will catch up on that when I get the chance to visit Oxford again! I would be delighted to get the chance to book a tour again with my husband who is a Tolkien fan.
