We learned and tasted vastly different kinds of ramen…so much more than we get in NYC. Sam, our tour guide, is a ramen savant and taught us so much.
The ramen was VERY tasty and I would definently go on this tour again, or a tour by the same company again if I went to another city. If I go back to Japan, I will most probably do something with them again.
We are a family of 5, with teenaged children, and had a fantastic tour with Olivier. It was super hot in Japan when we did the tour but it did not affect our ramen eating abilities at all. Olivier was very knowledgeable, not only about ramen, but about Japan as well. The chosen spots were curated and you are tasting the best of the best. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful food tour with Makayla. She did a wonderful job of explaining the history of not just Ramen but food in Tokyo in a way we weren’t even aware we were learning. Hee conversational and friendly approach to being a food tour guide makes her exceptional in a world filled with many, many food tour options.
We did a ramen tour with Annie and it was a highlight of our trip. She explained things clearly, was friendly, answered all of our questions, handled everything including skipping the line! We had a great time.
I loved this tour and our tour guide, Sahori was so energetic and passionate! The ramen portions were generous too!
We went to 3 different locations to taste 2 ramen dishes at each spot. The tour is long; we took the train to get to one spot. Each dish was a generous size; bring your appetite. Bunga, our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about ramen. Great time!
Olivier was a awsome host!! It was our first night inTokyo and we were super tired but this was a great introduction to authentic Ramen dishes. Olivier was extremely knowledgeable about the different ingredients and flovors of all of the tastings. We would definately recommend this tour!
The impressive thing about this tour is that we really got to taste 6 different types of ramen (we had a choice of 12 to choose from). 3 stops, two types of ramen at each stop. It was tsukemen at the 3rd stop. Each ramen tasted different from the others, so it was a real variety. Ever one was tasty. We were clearly eating at real ramen shops that locals frequent, not tourist traps. Going for good walk between each restaurant was a good idea. Bill was an excellent guide.
The guide (Sahali) was WONDERFUL...and who knew that ramen came in so many flavors and forms? An awesome experience.
