A Catedral é dedicada à Sagrada Sabedoria, construída sobre as fundações de uma basílica cristã primitiva e foi renovada e adornada com afrescos no tempo do arcebispo Leão no período entre 1037 e 1056.
De pé sozinho em um penhasco com vista para o Lago de Ohrid, acima do assentamento de pesca de Kaneo, A arquitetura é uma combinação de elementos bizantinos e armênios.
Acima da entrada do museu está um grande mosaico mural intitulado The Albanians, que retrata supostas figuras antigas e modernas da história da Albânia. O museu inclui os seguintes pavilhões: o Pavilhão da Antiguidade, Idade Média, Renascimento, Independência, Iconografia, Guerra Antifascista de Libertação Nacional, Terror Comunista e Madre Teresa.
O que antes pretendia proteger Hoxha e seu gabinete no caso de um ataque nuclear é agora um centro de arte e cultura de uso misto, mas com um olhar atento para a preservação e a lembrança dos anos sombrios sob o governo de Hoxha.

It was a lovely but long day. We started at 7am and I didn’t get back to my hotel until after 10pm. So if you’re okay with that the tour was a great way to see the countryside and learn more about the cities and countries. My driver was EPIC and we talked about life in two different parts of the world. It was really a lovely trip.
A fantastic experience and highly recommended. Our guide, Petrit, picked us up and made the day very comfortable and enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable about each place. It was a very long day but that's because Tirana is very far from Skopje! However, it was worth it to get to Albania. The itinerary was perfect, just enough time in each place. Well worth it!

It was a very pleasant journey with Petar, my guide/driver. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Ohrid is a wonderful place to visit, rich in history and fantastic natural beauty!
I was able to understand different cultures between Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Albania; the tour guide was excellent in helping to understand the historical background among these countries
With our excellent guide we took a few hours driving to Ohrid and Tirana. I was pleasantly surprised of Ohrid. The view from the Ancient theatre to the lake is great. In Tirana we started from the central square, at the statue of Skanderbeg and spent the next two hours learning about the center of Tirana and the local sites. It is an interesting city. Do not forget to bring camera!!!

i modified the itinerary to go Tirana direct and later stop by Ohrid. the journey to Tirana is long (6 hours drive). most of the road condition is ok except the part from Border to Elbasan. not lucky there were a few slow driving truck in front and costs a lot of time. Driver and guide are very professional which makes the trip much more easier. Tirana is a very modern city which contrast to my expectation. both countries are improving the roads.
