I was somewhat disappointed in this tour because it did not follow the itinerary given here on Viator. There were supposed to be 5 stops before we got to the Tunnel of Hope, but instead we went there first. OK, fine - doing things out of order isn't the end of the world. But then after visiting the tunnel we drove to the Jewish Cemetery - which doesn't seem to be mentioned as a stop on the tour. Fine - it was an interesting stop. Then we went to the Sarajevo Maternity Hospital (listed as stop 5 on the itinerary), and that was the end of the tour. So we did not stop at: * Yellow Fortress * Kovaci Cemetery * Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium (when we were at the maternity hospital, I specficially asked about this and the guide simply pointed at it as we drove past - the itinerary mentions a 10-minute stop there... I specifically wanted to see the stadium close up) And then the itinerary mentions several landmarks that we would just drive past, but the guide did not point these out and explain their significance in the war. The guide was enthusiastic, but his English was not great. Also, he should have laid out the plan for the day, explaining where there might be opportunities for getting a snack or going to the toilet - the only toilet stop was at the Tunnel of Hope which only offers one male and one female squat toilet.
The tour with Mohammed was informative, interesting and educational. Our children (12 and 15) were also able to follow the remarks with interest.

A lot of content is missing about what happened It was a long drive in which the guide told you practically nothing. They only took us to see the tunnel which is a visit you can make on your own exactly the same. When you pay for a tour you expect something more extraordinary than what you can do on your own. Not worth it
Safet is well versed in history and Bosnian culture. He knows the city well and is very nice and friendly. Very recommended for tours
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for this lovely review. We appreciate your recommendation a lot. Warm regards!
I was very pleased with the leadership. It was particularly noteworthy that this was carried out even though I was the only participant. My guide Adi was open-minded, friendly and competent. I was no stranger to the subject as such, as I was already confronted with the events of the war in Sarajevo as a soldier in 1997. In my view, it would be worth considering whether, instead of the yellow fortress, it would not be more appropriate to visit the former bobsleigh course for the subject.
Dear Guest, Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your kind review and for sharing your perspective. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your tour with Adi and appreciated his friendliness and knowledge. It means a lot to us that you valued the experience even as a solo participant. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding the former bobsled track — feedback like yours helps us improve and adapt our tours for future guests. Warm regards!

I joined this tour with my wife. For 3 hours we visited the "Tunnel of Hope" near Sarajevo airport. Our guide Nermin, was a retired Bosniak police-man and had served in the Bosnian civil war. She gave us important information about the war and shared her own experiences with us. The tunnel is very impressive and there are lots of materials about its construction process etc., it impresses you. It is a must-see in Sarajevo with extra time to spare. Thank you Nermin!!!
