The show at the Magic Circle was the Best! I shook hands with the President, Marvin Berglas at end of the tour. Michael was stupendous with the chinese rings and the classic cut the rope illusion. My brother Samuel Clarence Crosser even was asked to take part of the show! The beginning of the Tour/show was Great! Can't recall his name but can recall his turned up huge mustache and his many eye glasses! The close up magic was actually quite good. Be prepared to be amazed. The grand finale had a lovely robot in the act with David, but the ending of course, will just blow your mind with numbers! A well deserved performance for me, David Omer Crosser, and brother Sam who was visiting from my home town, Osage, Iowa. I recommend this Magic Circle Tour for ANYONE...even Houdini himself!
I attended with 3 friends as something a little bit different , and not knowing what to expect we were all very happy and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. our guide was Ian supported by Alex who went onto to show us some of his magic with a close up display of his skills.. we then requested Ian also showed us a bit of magic, and he did not fail to disappoint. we were all blown away by their talent. we interacted with both which added to the experience. would recommend to anyone, whether you were a fan of magic or not. 1.5 hour tour , however we were there for a total of 2... and good value for money..
Genuinely, hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in London. I took my husband for his birthday as he’s a huge fan of magic, and from the moment we arrived it was clear this was going to be a special evening. The building itself is beautiful, and there’s something incredibly special about stepping inside a place that has held the secrets, history and passion of magic for generations. What really stood out was the welcome we received. We were greeted by members of The Magic Circle and professional magicians. Everyone was so friendly, passionate and enthusiastic about magic that you immediately felt part of something special. Their love for the craft was infectious and added so much to the atmosphere. The drinks were also fantastic value for London. A delicious glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a cider came to just £12, and the wine was genuinely very good. The evening started with close-up magic, and the card magicians were absolutely incredible. Watching such skilled performers up close was mind-blowing. The museum was also fascinating, full of magical history and unique exhibits that made the whole experience feel even more special. Michael Vincent was outstanding, and both my husband and I ended up on stage during two different performances, which made the evening even more memorable and so much fun. The final act by David Penn was absolutely phenomenal and left the entire audience amazed. The whole evening was brilliantly organised, entertaining from start to finish, and offered incredible value for money. It felt like being welcomed into a community of world-class magicians who genuinely love what they do. Worth every penny and then some. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning.
Brilliant Tour with excellent guides Ian and Pete, who illuminated the tour and even wowed us with a few magic tricks. Very entertaining and fascinating walk through the history of the best magic in the world. Highly recommended!
To my shame I am a naturally critical person and yet I have nothing but praise for attending The Magic Circle : Secrets of The Magic Circle event yesterday. It is easy to find / get to, ie a few mins walk from Euston Sq underground station and from the initial greet at the entrance everything went smoothly, was very entertaining, suitable for all ages including children (Those there yesterday were clearly enjoying it), informative, had audience participation and had a relaxed feel throughout. The various shows and demonstrations were simply mind blowing and fun to watch. I have studied some 'magic' myself so recognised some techniques used in each demonstration and yet even knowing this i was surprised, amazed and fooled. The museum part is small, but the curator there is an absolute font of knowledge. My wife isn’t into 'magic' and got the tickets as a gift to me; afterwards she admitted she went in not expecting to be wowed, but came out happily raving about how good it was. I am definitely recommending to friends that they go and I will be going back again myself sometime later this year.
A thoroughly enjoyable, informative and funny experience and a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Friday afternoon. Thanks to Alex and Ian who performed some magic tricks at the end of the tour. These were very well received, particularly the impressive shuffling cards. Thanks to both.
Everyone was so happy- adults and children! Facilitating place in the centre of London! Visit and take your friends!
Ian, our guide, was excellent. Informative and witty. My only criticism was that I would have liked a bit longer browsing the exhibits and the museum so I could properly read the literature. The surprise magic show at the end was amazing!
Incredible experience, very insightful into the history. Derek and Alex were great hosts and very welcoming. Would love to come back to see a show!
We had a really great tour of the Magic Circle led by Stuart and Ian, who were both so friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. A really funny and educational couple of hours! One of our group wasn't really "into magic", but even she was converted by the experience! Finishing it by seeing some amazing close-up magic from Ian was great and completely unexpected. Such a fascinating place, with so much history, the stories of which were compellingly told by Stuart. Both took the time to chat to us and our daughter at the end, which was lovely and made her day. If I could offer one piece of feedback it's that it would have been good for the tour to have been a little longer, so that we had some time to look at the exhibits in the museum and the Devant Room at our own pace after we had been shown around by our guides.
