O entretenimento noturno mais exclusivo e autêntico de Siem Reap, com a melhor classificação. Mais do que apenas um circo, os artistas do Phare usam teatro, música, dança e artes circenses modernas para contar histórias exclusivamente cambojanas; histórico, folclórico e moderno. Os jovens artistas de circo vão surpreendê-lo com sua energia, emoção, entusiasmo e talento. Os artistas Phare são estudantes e graduados do centro de treinamento vocacional de Phare Ponleu Selpak (www.phareps.org) em Battambang. A associação foi formada em 1994 por 9 jovens voltando para casa de um campo de refugiados após o regime Khmer Vermelho. Eles foram muito ajudados durante esse tempo por um professor de arte que usava aulas de desenho como terapia e queriam compartilhar essa nova habilidade entre os jovens pobres, carentes e problemáticos socialmente em Battambang. Eles fundaram uma escola de arte e escolas públicas seguiram para oferecer educação gratuita. Uma escola de música e teatro foram as próximas e, finalmente, para as crianças que queriam mais, a escola de circo. Hoje, mais de 1.200 alunos freqüentam a escola pública diariamente e 500 freqüentam as escolas alternativas. O Phare Ponleu Selpak também possui extensos programas de extensão, tentando ajudar com os problemas destacados em seus próprios contos. Phare O Circo do Camboja oferece a esses estudantes e graduados um lugar para aprimorar suas habilidades e um lugar para ganhar um salário decente. Dinheiro que os tirará da pobreza e lhes dará respeito próprio e liberdade.

A wonderful show A fantastic human adventure We had a great evening Extraordinary acrobats
Don't waste your money. For $38.00 instead take your family home for a nice dinner for 4 people. The show is not a real circus. Horrible acrobats. Most of the short one hour show you see them crowning around. There is only one acrobat doing all the acts. So lame. This is for people who never seen real acrobats from China and Russia. Not entertaining at sll. Left disappointed. Don't go .waste of money.

Such a wonderfully engaging evening. I’m not even a big fan of the circus but I couldn’t recommend this enough! Such a great cause too. The food onsite was delicious.

This was the fastest hour of my life. The circus show was so entertaining that the time flew by. The entire thing was so well done including the welcome from the performers with drums, jugglers and cheering. The food available pre-show, and the entertainment before the show is top notch and the food is inexpensive. Every seat in the big top is a good one and the quality of the show is fantastic. The best part is that seeing the show supports the mission of this program which is to give skills to underprivileged youth in order for them to have a better quality of life. It is win-win and feel good all the way around.

Astounding! Heading in we just assumed that it was just another circus performance. But tonight’s performance blew our mind, from start to finish it was so captivating left us on edge most of the show, it was just incredibly breathtaking. It educated us on how much rice is part of the Cambodian culture, & how Cambodian people eat live & breathe rice & community. We’re truly thankful that we got to experience the show. It’s great to see that although born into difficult circumstances the circus provides access to people to learn about different art forms free of cost! A great initiative!
