Experimente a Índia contemporânea! Um encontro popular para os moradores locais se divertirem e jogarem jogos de tabuleiro nos fins de semana. Este evento é realizado todo fim de semana na Church Street, a rua mais vibrante e movimentada de Bangalore. Este evento é aberto a maiores de 14 anos. As pessoas vêm sozinhas ou em grupos, mas todos são simpáticos e gostam de socializar, jogar novos jogos e recuperar de uma semana agitada de trabalho. Quer você tenha alguma experiência em jogos ou não, você se encaixará. Temos mais de 300 jogos de tabuleiro, que incluem jogos simples para iniciantes, jogos europeus pesados e jogos sociais. Vamos ajudá-lo a encontrar um jogo adequado, jogadores para jogar e ensinar-lhe as regras. O evento acontece dentro do edifício Purvankara Pavillion (após a Starbucks e em frente ao Matteo Coffee). Fica a apenas 50 metros da Estação de Metrô MG (saída Church Street). Você pode entrar pelas portas de vidro do WeWork e dizer 'The Boardgame Den', alguém estará lá para guiá-lo. Por favor, diga "The Boardgame Den' e mostre-lhes o seu bilhete. Eles vão deixar você entrar. Assim que você entrar no andar principal, alguém irá guiá-lo. Vamos ajudá-lo a encontrar um jogo, jogadores para jogar e ensinar-lhe as regras do jogo. Você pode jogar qualquer tipo de jogo e quantos jogos quiser até fechar. Não é necessária experiência prévia. Há uma despensa no centro onde você pode obter água potável, chá e café de cortesia. A máquina de café fecha às 17h aos sábados e às 16h aos domingos.

I initially booked this with a friend who decided not to join, but it was still an excellent experience going as a solo traveler. This was my first trip to India, and I thought this would provide a great opportunity to hang out with some locals. I unfortunately arrived with only an hour left so I didn't get the full experience to be able to hang out with everyone, but I so wish I had been able to go for the full time. The host organizes this experience with her daughter in a WeWork. When you arrive, you're greeted by the host (I sadly didn't catch her name!) and she makes sure you're well taken care of. There are different games set up on various tables and they kindly set you up at a table with other gamers and explain the rules to you and continue to check in to make sure you're understanding and enjoying yourself. The host and her daughter were gracious enough to invite me the next weekend since I couldn't spend much time there. Sadly, I wasn't in town, but I would have definitely wanted to join.
I went with three of my friends and we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to hang out with friends without the clutch of food and drinks. We also played some big group games and everyone we played with were approachable and friendly.
Such a wonderful experience. Everyone was warm and friendly. When I entered, I saw a lot of different games laid out on the tables. All of them had different themes and I was told that they were of varied levels of complexity. I was new to gaming so the host suggested that I get seated on a table of Catan with 3 other people. None of us had played the game before. Someone taught us the rules and patiently helped us with our doubts. It was fun! I then took a short break, had some coffee and spoke to people. After that, I sat on one of the central sofa areas where we were about 10 people playing a light mafia type game. That was hilarious. It didn't even feel like we had just met. All of us were playing as if we knew each other for years. I am so glad that I joined this event. It was refreshing, fun and a great way to interact with strangers. I would suggest having a board or banner outside the door. The street has so much going on, it is easy to miss the entrance.
