We were so fortunate. The guide offered to pick us up and drop us at our hotel. They arrived on time and took us in a lovely air conditioned car. We paid for a group tour but our family received a personalised tour as it was a quiet day. Amazing! Danny, our guide, was very knowledgeable on Xi an and the Terra-cotta warriors. He showed us around and was very accomodating for our children in the heat. He helped us find a place for lunch and whilst offering us extensions to the tour was happy when we declined those not required due to our family. We had a truely memorable day and enjoyed one of the true highlights of China.
A bargain price for a day of seeing and learning about an amazing part of ancient history. Our guide, Kobe gave us a phone call in the morning before the tour to make sure we could easily find him at the meeting point. Kobe was great at explaining the history of the Terra-cotta soldiers and was happy to field answer questions along the way. I highly recommend this tour!
Chelsea was great guide. We met at the drum tower hotel and off the to warriors in a bus. She kept track of everyone and ensured that we got through the phalanx of people at the site. Along with the way tags provided information about food, Xi’an and a brief history of the area. She made the visit way more interesting than without a guide.
I had a great day in Xi’an! Alice, was a great guide, knowledgeable and helpful. Visiting the Terracotta Warriors was the highlight of the trip coupled with the pagoda and Xi’an city wall.
There was an avalanche of people. Even so, we managed to see it from all points and take photos thanks to our guide.
Firstly I want to say that I was glad I went on a tour to see the Terracotta Warriors. The guide was invaluable in getting us to the front of the viewing platforms into the pits. Without her, I doubt I would have even tried to battle the crushing crowds and mayhem that surrounded all the sights. Unfortunately, there was a lot not to like. Our guide was 15-20minutes late, the driver made us wait 10-15 minutes in the heat of the day to pick us up from the City Wall and we had an unexplained detour to drop something off in the city! If that was the reason we only had 40 minutes at the City Walls and one hour at the Terracotta Warriors, it was not good enough. We certainly did not get an 8-hour tour as described in the advertising. We set off well after 8:30am and were back at our hotel before 2:30pm. By my calculations that is not 8 hours. It certainly only took 70 minutes to return but far, far longer to get there!
I am sorry that, the City Wall and the Warriors for your visiting the time is not enough. The guide and driver service also with some problem, I will go to survey this information and improve, thank you for your information.
Guide was smart and funny. Very knowledgeable. Good food at the end as well. Flexible tour with options.
The tour was even better than I could imagine. Our English speaking guide was very professional and friendly. I liked it a lot!
Many thanks for taking your valuable time to give us your authentic feedback online. We are very fortunate to serve you in Xi'an.
