I learned that it is fun to blend teas with intension and I will be using this idea to blend teas for special occasions
My sister and I took the Science &Art of Tea Blending class. It was a delightful class in a cozy setting inside the shop. We sampled several teas, I particularly enjoyed the apple spice one. The owner gave us a-lot of interesting herb facts and sheet with blending with herbs suggestions. The class lasted about 1 1/2 hours. The shop sells CBD oil & gummies . I sampled some of that, too. I had recently fallen and the CBD lotion helped make the bruising in my arm & wrist less painful. Ya’ll stop by,It’s a great shop in downtown Portsmouth, NH.

We were scheduled to do the Tea Blending on Sunday. I placed a call on Sat to touch base and had to leave a message. I received no call back. We arrived on Sunday and the store was closed. We walked around for a few hours and checked again. The store was still closed. If you are planning on this event it would be best to ensure the owner is available and the store will be open.
This review I have tried to have deleted but have not been able to. It is very disappointing that customers can leave review for classes that were not confirmed and they were notified of it not being confirmed. I notified the customer that we could not accommodate this class the day after it was booked it due to an immediate family member having a heart attack, so I could not accommodate. I let them know as soon as I could, so I am not sure how come the email from Tripadvisor didn't notify Krista of this not being able to be accommodated. The shop not being open at times is only a result of a staff shortage or emergency. This is class is something I offer to educate people and offer a nice experience, but it is not an entitlement that I provide it under extenuating circumstances and if I am not available. A must do when in Portsmouth! The best experience ever! Jalese was lovely, informative and experienced in teaching us about herbs and their healing properties. The blending session was truly one of a kind experience- setting was serene and peaceful. The tea blends we each made were perfect for what we needed- sleep, calm, inflammation. We will go back when we return and order online from the store. We cannot recommend this more!!! Fantastic!! And of course Zara the pup was an extra treat.

Visited Societe for the very first time during a recent weekend trip to Portsmouth. My boyfriend booked a tea blending class for us and we had the pleasure of sitting down with the owner, Joy. During the tea blending class you have the pleasure of sitting with her and discussing not only the benefits of what goes into the teas and how it’s done, but you have the opportunity to ask her questions, discuss what you know or want to know about teas or herbs, and the history behind it. She is truly passionate about her business and knowledgeable in many areas in this field. She offers the science and nature behind it all. I had a particular question about fertility and reproductive health and Joy really made this experience geared towards my wants and needs and went above and beyond giving me the science and reasoning behind her studies. I really enjoyed this class and the tea/products we tried. So whether you’re struggling with sleep, pain, stress, etc., I’m sure Joy will take great care of you, like she did for us.
