Very good sailing cruise. Sceneries while the boat is sailing is wonderful. The live musician makes it more exciting while having some drinks!
I think that they should give the history of the ship before anything else. It's an incredible history and she is such a lovely ship she deserves to be known for her life story. Secondly, please turn down the volume of the entertainment. The sound quality was awful and because of that it was very difficult to talk to my partner or the other people around me. And there was no interaction from the staff with the passengers to tell us anything except for A bit about George's island. We saw a South Korean car carrier ship. Nobody said anything about it I had to look it up on Google. We saw the pilots that helped bring the ships into the harbor, nothing was said about that either. How about the history of the Halifax Harbour and how they used to have submarine nets underwater there for World War II, not a word was sad about the Halifax explosion. Like people come from around the world and they did not learn a damn thing except for George's Island on that whole trip. There are marvellous interesting things out there and just pointing out the fact that there are millionaires houses in the channel I'm sorry but who cares about that? Literally nobody cares about some guy's big bank account. But most of us do care about the history and I had to tell people around me the history of the ship. It would've been nice to have the interesting things that we were seeing around us be pointed out and talked about. Other than the too loud music and the lack of interaction I'd say it was good and I would recommend it because the ship herself is so lovely.
Really nice. The ship was magnificent. Nice live music throughout. Hardly any chatter—we could enjoy the water, sun, sail. Best of all: staff didn’t demand a tip at the end!!!!
We had a fabulous few hours. Definitely worth going. The only negative was we thought there would be a little more info on the sights.
Yes, there aren’t many of these proud ship left that are open to the public. The only thing I would recommend is to ease up on the volume of the live music. The ship, crew and harbour are the main event, music should be background.
No sails Desiel engine all the way Saw a seal in of the of the bays Music was --ok -- I would prefer to listen to the wind and waves
Great view of Halifax Harbour and George’s Island. Friendly crew. It can get quite windy so be sure to bring a jacket.
The ticket is not clear about the departure, causing some confusion for many who went to the wharf in downtown Halifax. The race veiwing is distant and oblique and involves constant rotation of the ship, which departed the race prior to the end. The staff were very helpful and as aboat ride it is reasoable but if one wants to watch the race, consider a different option
They announced they would be raising sails then never did. Did not announce they would not be using sails, we asked and found out. Crew member said "too rough" yet smaller sailboats were out using their sails. Then we were told they would normally use motors still even when using sails. Sails were more for decoration?
Beautiful sail boat. Enjoyed the boat ride while listening to a talented musician. Lots of room to see the sights. Crew very respectful and I felt confident in their ability.
Thank you for the review! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the sailing experience, the live music, and the beautiful views. It's also great to hear that our crew made you feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the trip. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you aboard again soon!
