It was an amazing tour guided by Mimi, would not give to enjoy so much if we were alone. She showed us two temples near the market, recommended the best food spots and was always attentive to what we were interested in.
Our tour with Mimi was one of the highlights of our Tokyo trip. She introduced us to delicious foods we never would have discovered on our own, and every recommendation was spot on. Skipping breakfast beforehand was definitely the right choice because we left with our stomachs completely full. We even brought home some Japanese snacks she suggested as gifts for family and friends. Mimi was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical insights throughout the tour. I especially enjoyed our visit to Namiyoke Shrine. With so many tourist traps and overcrowded viral spots around, having Mimi as our guide made all the difference.
We had a wonderful time on the Tsukiji market tour with our guide, Mimi. During our 2 week stay in Japan, we planned most things on our own, but this tour reminded us how valuable having a knowledgeable local guide can be. We learned so much, enjoyed great conversations, and appreciated all of Mimi’s thoughtful recommendations. The experience was both fun and insightful, and we would happily recommend both the tour and Mimi to anyone visiting Tokyo.
Having Mimi as our guide around the market added so much value to the experience. Since it was incredibly busy, having someone local to lead the way made everything feel enjoyable rather than overwhelming. She introduced us to a great variety of street foods, shared fascinating stories and insights about the area, and made sure we got the most out of our visit. We also appreciated how smoothly everything flowed and how easy she made it to navigate such a lively place. Highly recommended!
The tuna sashimi was incredible. The wagyu beef skewer was probably one of the best things I ate during my entire trip to Japan. Every stop had something delicious to try. But what really made the experience special was Mimi. She was fun, knowledgeable, and made the whole tour feel like exploring Tokyo with a friend. We learned so much while having a great time. Honestly, one of the highlights of our trip. Great food, great stories, great guide. Just amazing!
It was an excellent experience! What made this tour memorable was how thoughtfully Mimi customized the day. She asked us what our interests and preferences are, and she adjusted the itinerary accordingly. We skipped omelette because we had some at our hotel that morning. Thanks to her, we visited places that we wouldn't have figured on our own.
We had lots of fun, wouldn’t know where to go on my own. Great to have someone show me around. Our guide Mimi was so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. There is lots to see and do in the markets.
We thought we were joining a food tour, but it turned out to be a fascinating introduction to Japanese culture. Visiting Tsukiji Honganji Temple and Namiyoke Shrine helped us understand the history and traditions behind the area before exploring the market. Mimi was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and she was happy to answer all of our questions. We learned so much about Japanese culture and local life that we would never have discovered on our own.
Our guide gave us excellent recommendations throughout the market and explained the significance of many local foods and traditions. We appreciated that we could choose what interested us rather than following a fixed tasting schedule. The historical explanations made the entire experience much more meaningful.
What made this tour truly special was our guide, Mimi. She didn’t just explain the sights but instead she helped us understand how temples and shrines are still deeply connected to everyday life in Japan. We learned how locals visit them, what people pray for, and why these places remain important today. Mimi also taught us the proper way to bow and how to use the purification fountain, which made us feel much more confident and respectful. Combined with delicious food and fascinating stories about Tsukiji, this was one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. Highly recommended!
