amazing landscapes in ortigia that you shouldn't miss on a very hot day if you re visiting ortigia.i can t swimm so that cool part of jumping in the turquoise water, i ve skipped it :)the passing under the lone of the lower bridge at the end crowned this nice tour. i ve received a group pic too from the prganisers, plus ortigia main sites to visit, a comprehensive list.
Running late and they made sure we got onboard so as not to miss out. Brilliant trip. You get right inside the caves and then time for a swim in the sea. Really was a fantastic trip and not many people to a boat, so not overcrowded which was lovely. Plus a photo too!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, fantastic places and backgrounds, a beautiful experience that should be done by anyone visiting Ortigia
It was really nice friendly service and the captain was very friendly and took time to give information about the tour and what we where seeing. I recommend this for everyone it’s a great experience.
Beautiful and well-organized tour! A perfect way to discover the Island of Ortigia and the stunning sea caves. Friendly staff, relaxing experience, and spectacular views. Highly recommended!
It was a wonderful experience we had Spent a beautiful day
We did the 2 hour trip with two swims and it was fantastic. Franco was an amazing skipper / guide with loads of information and excellent English.
It is described as a 1 hour 30 minute tour and therefore a higher price point than other tours which are an hour. This tour was only 55 minutes. So the tour description was misleading. The boat skipper was nice but only spoke Italian which for the activity is fine as you are on the water. Swimming was lovely. But you can get a cheaper tour for the same amount of time. Do your research - you can get $11 cheaper per person.
A one-and-a-half-hour boat ride around Ortigia is a suggestive and relaxing experience. The navigation starts from the port and skirts the historic city, offering spectacular views of the seaside buildings and the Maniace Castle. We continue towards the sea caves, where the water is clear and the rocky walls create fascinating light plays. The stop for swimming is the most enjoyable moment: immersing oneself in these crystal-clear waters makes the excursion unforgettable. Ideal for those seeking a brief adventure among nature, history, and relaxation.
Departing from the large port, unique in its kind because it is a natural port with over 10 kilometers of circumference, passing by the Aretusa spring and the Maniace castle, then heading towards the caves with a visit inside some of them and then swimming under the monuments. A big shoutout to skipper Laura, who is very skilled in describing the various sites and is excellent in maneuvering in the cave and passing under the Umbertino bridge.
