Hwaseong Fortress é uma estrutura impressionante da última parte da dinastia Joseon (1392-1910). A fortaleza foi construída como uma demonstração da piedade filial do rei Jeongjo para com seu pai.
Um Hwaseong Haenggung era um palácio temporário onde o rei e a família real se refugiaram durante uma guerra.
