Vale dos Reis, desfiladeiro longo e estreito a oeste do rio Nilo, no Alto Egito. Fazia parte da antiga cidade de Tebas e foi o cemitério de quase todos os reis (faraós) das 18ª, 19ª e 20ª dinastias (1539–1075 aC), de Tutmés I a Ramsés X. Localizada nas colinas atrás Dayr al-Baḥrī, os 62 túmulos conhecidos exibem variedade tanto na planta quanto na decoração. Em 1979, a UNESCO designou o vale como parte do Patrimônio Mundial da antiga Tebas, que também inclui Luxor, o Vale das Rainhas e Karnak.
Vale das Rainhas, desfiladeiro nas colinas ao longo da margem ocidental do Rio Nilo, no Alto Egito. Fazia parte da antiga Tebas e serviu como cemitério das rainhas e de alguns filhos reais das dinastias 19 e 20 (1292–1075 aC). A necrópole das rainhas está localizada a cerca de 2,4 km a oeste do templo mortuário de Ramsés III (1187–56 aC) em Madīnat Habu. Existem mais de 90 tumbas conhecidas, geralmente consistindo de uma passagem de entrada, alguns corredores curtos e uma câmara de sarcófago. Os mais antigos podem ser os de Sitre, esposa de Ramsés I. Os mais notáveis são os de Nefertari, a rainha favorita de Ramsés II; dos príncipes Khaemwese e Amonhirkhopsef; e de uma rainha Ramesside chamada Titi. Em 1979, a UNESCO adicionou o Vale das Rainhas, o Vale dos Reis, Karnak, Luxor e outros locais de Tebas à Lista do Patrimônio Mundial.
Os dois Colossos de Memnon sem rosto, originalmente representando o Faraó Amenhotep III, erguendo-se majestosamente a cerca de 18 metros da planície, são os primeiros monumentos que os turistas veem quando visitam a Cisjordânia. Esses magníficos colossos, cada um cortado de um único bloco de pedra e pesando 1.000 toneladas, ficavam na entrada leste do templo funerário de Amenófis III, o maior da margem oeste. Os egiptólogos estão atualmente escavando o templo e suas descobertas podem ser vistas atrás dos colossos.

Wow! One more ticked off the bucket list. Experiencing a hot air balloon ride over the historic sights of Luxor was truly unforgettable. It was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We were ready at 4:30am, they never showed up. The day before the local operator confirmed the activity with Viator.
We’re sorry for the confusion, but we’d like to clarify the situation. This activity was cancelled by us two days in advance on Viator due to weather conditions, and the cancellation was properly processed. Your booking was never confirmed on our side, and when you called, there was no active reservation to confirm. Additionally, you received a full refund, which was completed according to Viator’s policy. Given that the tour was cancelled in advance for safety reasons and fully refunded, it’s unfair to describe our service as poor when the activity did not take place. We always prioritize guest safety and transparency, and we did everything correctly in this case.
Two people who have hypsophobia, tried Hot Air Balloon today! We woke up very early in the morning to see the sunrise from the balloon and accomplished it beautifully! It's very safe and if we can do it, anyone can do it! 🙂 Tried to capture some beautiful moments from the top but it was so cold but pleasant, we chose to enjoy it for a longer time! It was almost for 45 minutes, so you definitely will get a nice time up there and yeah, it's very romantic. DO NOT MISS IT if you come to Luxor! Highly recommended! The entire experience was mind blowing as you see the valley of kings on one side and the beautiful sunrise on the other. It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. Our experience with Adi tours and Nuba flower tours is amazing… Ahmed adel and team planned and organized the trip very well… he gave us amazing time and most memorable experiences in Cairo, Giza pyramid complex, Luxor , aswan and Alexandria… the transport and stay at all places are comfortable , the guides are very good and amazing food choices for lunch ….
