We had a wonderful private tour to Prison Island and Stone Town with this amazing guide. He was incredibly professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Since we were traveling with our 4-year-old daughter, we were worried about her getting too tired, but he was so patient and flexible. As soon as she got tired from walking, he immediately adjusted the tour and cut it shorter so we could all stay comfortable and happy. The private van was safe and air-conditioned, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. If you are traveling as a family in Zanzibar, this is the best guide you can ask for:)
We had an absolutely amazing experience booking through HB for our family vacation (myself, my wife, and our 3 kids). We did a full-day tour with Ahmad, who took us through Old Stone Town, the bustling local markets, the port, and across to Prison Island to see the giant turtles. On the exact same day, we also visited the Spice Farm with him. Ahmad was incredible—his availability was top-notch, his prices were very reasonable, and he had a fantastic explanation for absolutely everything. He shared so much rich history about every place we visited, making the entire day both educational and highly entertaining for the kids. He truly made our vacation unforgettable! Bonus tip: Through HB, you can also book several other fantastic tours. They offer trips to Mnemba Island to swim with dolphins, the Safari Blue excursion, swimming with sea turtles, and quad bike tours to visit local villages. Highly recommend booking with them for a smooth, comfortable, and top-tier experience!

We met Ahmed at the harbor and got a fantastic tour with that little extra! He has enormous knowledge of the history of Zanzibar and Tanzania and also showed us some hidden gems. Now we are well prepared with a lot of insights for our last two days in Stonetown!

HB was a great tour guide, integrating specific sights that we had requested with a fairly standard tour of the city (and Prison Island!). He also was very helpful when we were shopping, taking us to shops that had fixed prices, and assisting us with negotiating prices when our eyes were caught by other places.
