This was so much more than a wine tour. The Stellenbosch Wine Walk with Geoff was one of the highlights of our time in South Africa. From the moment we started walking through the beautiful Banhoek Valley, everything felt relaxed, personal and incredibly well organised. Sue and Geoff brought the landscape, vineyards and history to life with fantastic stories and plenty of local knowledge. The wine tastings were excellent, but what really made the experience special was the combination of walking through the countryside, meeting the people behind the wine and enjoying some truly spectacular scenery. There was never any feeling of being rushed from one tasting room to another. The lunch was another highlight, and the whole day had a wonderful balance of walking, wine, food, conversation and simply enjoying being in such a beautiful part of Stellenbosch.

If you're looking for the ultimate wine experience in Stellenbosch, this is it. Geoff was an incredible guide. His knowledge of the region, its history, and the wines made the day so much more than just a series of tastings. The walk through the beautiful vineyards was relaxed and scenic, with plenty of opportunities to stop, chat, and take in the spectacular mountain views. Every wine estate was carefully chosen, offering outstanding wines, delicious food, and warm hospitality. Geoff's passion for the Cape Winelands is infectious, and he made everyone feel welcome from start to finish. Nothing felt rushed, and the entire day was perfectly organised. What a very fun and interesting walking tour this tour was. In 4 to 5 hours, our tour guide Geoff took us into a piece of history, explained the flora and fauna and discussed countless other topics. Meanwhile, the breathtaking nature could be enjoyed. It was a walking tour with a personal complexion which we really liked. The wine tastings are lavish. You get to taste very different wines in three completely different wineries. The snacks on the way are good. Tips: Easily wear (hiking) shoes, wear a cap or hat against the sun, apply some oil and make sure you have breakfast.

Despite my husband and I feeling under the weather we decided to get up and out early for this trip and we were so happy we did. As an experienced travel guide author Geoff was a mine of information about the region and its history delivered with an abundance of humour. This trip is a gentle walk and taking in of the views stopping at four winemakers for tasting along route. Don’t be concerned about the walk. It’s not a route march. In our opinion it was a much better way to see, feel, taste and smell the region and its wine than any tram or bus tour. If you haven’t already booked this tour , why not? book it now!
