The tour is advertised for 8 hours, but actually only 6 hours. Some anxiety at the meeting point scheduled for 8am, as we could not see the tour guide at the docks exit 10 minutes past 8am. I called the number provided for the tour agency only to be told I called the wrong phone number. I had to call the emergency number again for assistance.
The price was fair but the driver did NOT act as an Expert Tour Guide in any way. We drove through a park with wild horses which was a complete surprise.
This is a scam. Supposed "tour guide" didn't even know where he was taking us. Was late picking us up from the terminal then was shocked to hear we'd booked a tour with 2-3 stops. He quickly drove to the first stop, dropped us off then said, "I'll be back in 45 minutes ". He hasn't said a single word the entire time. I'd like a refund. This is a very expensive Uber!
What an excellent opportunity to visit Salisbury, Stonehenge and Windsor as we transferred from the cruise port in Southampton to our hotel in London. Coach was very comfortable and driver/tour guide David was awesome!! Chris was also excellent with booking details and pre transfer communications. Highly recommend this tour.
Many thanks! I will pass on your comments to David and Chris
Great tour. Loved seeing Salsbury Cathedral, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. The town of Windsor was cute.
Many thanks for your comments. I agree, Windsor is lovely town to visit and the Castle outstanding!
This is a great tour to book if you’re looking to extend your touring after a cruise! Make sure you check which days you’re going to ensure all stops are open. We knew going in to this tour that the Castle would be closed, however we still enjoyed walking around the lovely town of Windsor. The office manager, Chris, was very accommodating and flexible and quickly responsive when questions were asked. Our driver, Rob, was incredibly kind, flexible and helpful! We would definitely recommend this tour!
Hi Hilary Very many thanks for your kind words. I will pass these on to John and Chris. So pleased you had a wonderful day
When I had booked it it included a 3 hour stop in Salisbury, a 2 hour stop at Stonehenge, a 2 hour stop at Windsor castle and a stop at St. George’s chapel. We drove through Salisbury without stopping had a short stop at Stonehenge and Windsor an no stop at St. George’s for the amount of money we paid I was very disappointed in the tour
Hi Irma I find this difficult to comprehend. on teh day of your tour, I believe you were the only guests on the tour, and therefore you were able to discuss with teh driver the places you would like to visit and the time you would like to stay loner at. If you would like to email me at office@yourshoretime.com, and I will certainly investigate for you. Kind regards
Great transfer from Southampton to London. Stops at Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Did not know tour tickets weren’t included. We were the only couple on the tour. Hugh was our driver. Excellent. We adjusted the times for what we wanted. He also gave great information. Spent an hour at Stonehenge and about 2 1/2 hours at Windsor. Had time for a quick lunch but tour takes a good two hours if you want to read everything. Highly recommend.
Many thanks for your review! Within the description we do show under Inclusions/Exclusions that entrances are not included. we do not include these as guests sometimes just wish to view the exterior, and in the case of Windsor spend time in the town rather than the castle. I will pass on your comments to Hugh the driver. He is a fountain of knowledge!
