Overall we really enjoyed our experience! But there were a few things to know - 1) if you are on the 9am tour in the summer, blue grotto is most likely not possible and you should book 7:45am instead (it sounds like they almost never stop at blue grotto for this itinerary) 2) if you choose to do the chair lift on Anacapri (as recommended) you most likely will not have time to explore Capri town as lines are crazy long in the summer and it took us 2 hours for this activity and 3) on our excursion we were not offered to snorkel - there was one time to swim towards the beginning of the trip, then offered to hop in at the Capri port (which I passed on because I thought we would be stopping at another spot to snorkel, but instead we drove home). We had a great time, but there were definitely differences between the itinerary we thought we booked (per the viator listing) and the trip we had
We really enjoyed the experience overall and would appreciate a few adjustments to enhance our visit: please include more dedicated to learning about the history of Capri and exploring the island, reduce swimming time, and, given the hot summer months, provide chilled fruit on board along with adequate shade such as a canopy or umbrellas and portable fans for additional comfort. Thank you for considering our feedback.
The boat trip was lovely but we were pretty disappointed with the lack of opportunity to swim and the fact that they didn’t really offer any ‘food and beverages’ that are supposed to be included until like 2 hours in? The boat was over 30 minutes late to pick us up and it was very average.
Our boat tour in Capri was one of the highlights of our trip, and Luciano made the whole experience unforgettable. He was so charming, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we stepped on the boat. He answered every question we had, shared interesting stories about Capri, and gave us amazing recommendations for places to eat and things to do during the rest of our stay. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and he made everyone feel comfortable and taken care of. He was fabulous and brought all the vibes! I would go back just to hang with him. Captain Luigi was excellent as well. He made us feel safe the entire time and did a great job navigating the beautiful coastline. I get sea sick very easily and didn’t even need to take a gravol and was completely comfortable. We had the chance to swim in the crystal clear water, and they also treated us to drinks, fresh fruit, and other refreshments, which made the day even more special. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Capri. Thank you, Luciano and Captain Luigi, for an unforgettable experience! PS we did get engaged! -Kelly and Nick
It was a very nice trip, the only thing was that we did not stop outside the blue cave for 30 minutes as it stated that we were to do so we never got seen the cave, which was quite disappointing, but otherwise a very nice day. Just a bit expensive.
We had the most amazing and dreamy time today onboard with our wonderful captain whose name escapes me and Francesca. They were wonderful and made the experience even better than expected. I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I just wish they had given time to collect tips as I had completely forgotten and feel terrible they didn’t ask us at the end.
Lucio was fun and a great host. I felt it was overpriced. We didn’t go to either grottoes because they said it was to rough, they could have at least tried. Basically it was an expensive ferry to Capri, short dip in the water and back to Sorrento
Overall a pleasant day out. Rafaella, our skipper, was pleasant and a good driver. We enjoyed the boat part of the experience greatly. The reason we would give it a 3 of 5 is the restaurant Rafaella strongly recommended in Capri that was “not a tourist trap” was a huge tourist trap and the most expensive meal we ended up paying for during our entire Italy trip. The cost for a Fanta was 7 euros; service charge 5 euros per person and we were told the branzino would be around 65-70 euros for two people and we were charged 100 euros. Although we were trying to be good natured to support Rafaella by eating there, it was a huge mistake on our end and left a bad taste in our mouths about the tour. I think there must be some deal with the water taxi (which is owned by the restaurant) that you must take on and off the boat. Within 20 feet of the restaurant is a cafe where you can get a similar menu for 1/3 the price. Or go to Capri town or Anacapri.
I truly had a memorable and incredible experience with Francisco on this tour. He was exceptional from the moment we boarded. He was attentive, kind and energetic throughout the entire experience. He truly made the trip one of a kind. Francisco made sure that everyone was enjoying every moment and taking in every view. He constantly told us about the views we were seeing and always ensured everyone aboard had a drink and felt comfortable. When we embarked on the island Francisco also made sure to tell us exactly where to go and even accompanied us to the bus so we could explore the island comfortably. On board he was full of energy and made sure everyone else was too. I cannot recommend Francisco enough!
Great experience! Worth the money! The boat was big enough to feel like you were on a private boat experience , very knowledgeable guides.
