We did this activity while on a cruise stop in Ketchikan. It was an easy, short walk from our ship to the meeting place; it only took a few minutes. Our group of 7 really enjoyed our snorkel adventure. Chris, Melody and marine biologist Maya provided a fun and informative experience. We also want to acknowledge (1) the encouragement and support that was given to one of our group to alleviate her hesitation and (2) that prescription goggles were provided.
Thanks so much for the kind review of my tour! We have some seriously amazing tour guides! Thanks for joining us! Fred D. Snorkel Alaska
It was amazing! I thought I would be cold but once the sea water seeped into the wet suit, my body warmed up the water and I started moving around I wasn’t cold! Saw lots of starfish, harmless jellyfish fish, crabs and fish! It was great!

Such a great experience! A must do! If you are worried about being cold you will not be! Such a great unique thing to do! From the moment our guide picked us up to the end it was first class all the way! Our ship was late arriving and they still made it happen and got us back on time!!
Thanks for coming out with us and for sharing your experience! Fred D. Snorkel Alaska

This experience was so fun and much, more comfortable (I’m from Florida) than I expected! Interesting creatures to see and helpful guides.
Thanks for joining us!!! Fred D
The staff took excellent care of all of us and made sure to show us things they found in the ocean floor and we stayed fairly warm
Thanks for the review! Fairly warm in May yes... :) Waters will be warming up everyday as we get more into summer! Fred D. Snorkel Alaska
Snorkeling in Alaska was absolutely unforgettable! Melody and Alex were phenomenal guides—professional, knowledgeable, and so much fun. They made us feel completely comfortable and safe in the cold waters, and their passion for the unique Alaskan marine life really shone through. The owner, Fred, was just as spectacular—warm, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to creating a one-of-a-kind adventure. The whole team worked seamlessly to make this excursion smooth and memorable from start to finish. I never imagined snorkeling in Alaska could be so magical—crystal clear waters, fascinating sea life, and an experience you truly can’t find anywhere else. If you’re even thinking about it—do it! This was hands-down one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Thank you so much for this amazing review of my tour! It's always been my goal that snorkeling in Ketchikan is the highlight of one's cruise or trip to Alaska! Fred D.
What a fun thing to do!!! We had a great time from time of booking on the phone with Fred, all the way to being dropped off in town after snorkeling and hot showers. The girls were so helpful and with smiles sharing their knowledge about the sea life as well as kind. I would do this again if I lived closer ;)) Thank you for the great memorable afternoon ❣️
