Started with snorkeling at the reef and enjoyed a tour of the west coast of Antigua with our Captain! Great drinks, relaxing ride and Beautiful Island views!

We had a fantastic trip with Captain Akaele on our own private snorkeling tour. We explained to him that we didn’t want to go to Cades Reef because our 2 teenage children are first time snorkelers and not strong swimmers, and we had read that Cades Reef sometimes has rough water or a strong current. He found the perfect destination for us in Carlisle Bay, and shared lots of interesting information about the west coast as we were traveling down along it. The water in Carlisle Bay was calm and clear and we saw tons of gorgeous tropical fish. Our whole family had an awesome time and we really appreciated Akaele’s care for our needs and preferences. We would love to do another tour with him in the future!

My husband and I had a fantastic time on our snorkeling trip! We don't often spend this kind of money on an excursion but every once in a while we splurge on one that we feel is worth it - and this one was! As it is a private charter and we were the only guests aboard, our boat captain, Akeale, was able to give us his undivided attention and cater parts of the trip to us. We were out on a clear, calm day, so we saw lots of beautiful fish at our first snorkeling stop at a reef and then we had time to cruise through Jolly Harbor before stopping at a second snorkeling spot, a shipwreck, which was very cool! Akeale answered any questions we had about the island, the people, the history, etc, so it was not only a great snorkel experience, it was also very informative. We enjoyed having a snack (fresh pineapple and tune sandwiches) and rum punch after snorkeling and on our way back to our drop off location, which happened to be on the beach in front of our hotel - talk about an easy commute! Highly recommend!!!

We have been to Antigua many times and done the big mainstream catamaran group tours and also some expensive large luxury private catamarans, however this time we were looking for just a private simple 1/2 day boat hire with captain to take us for a trip and do some snorkelling on Cades Reef. SeaCatDiscoveries were recommended to me and I am VERY happy we tried them. Excellent communication and planning with Michelle via Whats App and we got picked up on our hotel beach bang on time by Captain Akeale. We spend 3 relaxing hours with him and we was very easy to be around and also very friendly with our kids. Music on board (if we wanted), drinks (juice, water, rumpunch), pineapple and tuna sanwiches for snack and snorkelling equipment/swim wests provided aswell. We paid 400USD for 3 hrs and had the option on the day to extend for an extra 100 USD per extra hour if we wanted. The boat takes max 6 guests, but we were just 4. Cash or card payment aswell which is great. Great day and just the perfect type of trip! Thank you Michelle and Akeale. 5 star to you!

Awesome private excursion- just my wife and I. Can't say enough great things about Captain Akeale. Whatever is on your Antigua bucketlist- he can make it happen. We wanted to explore quiet remotr beaches on the west side of island and some snorkeling. There are so many opportunities and landed on Clinching Beach we snorkeled in Deep Bay (ship wreck) however visibility was less than ideal, so headed to a great spot snorkeling spot away from the crowd at Caded Reef... saw a baby sea turtle while at Cades and two small stingrays along with loads of colorful reef fish. Along the way- Akeale was a great guide and pointed out numerous Antigua landmarks, restraunts, hotels and famous homes. Total trip time was 4 hours (by our request). Unfortunately, Mother Nature wasn't cooperating and it was cloudy or raining 70% of time. Nevertheless, we would do it again! Fyi- Boat; 26ft length, single 100hp Yamaha. This is not a speed boat, but is fast enough to get you there and can accommodate near shore waves and moderate chop without problems and water spray. Booking Trip- easy, and host Michelle was good at responding in a fairly timely manner. Willing to pick us up on beach at Royalton CHIC (Dickenson Bay Beach)

Exactly as described. My family of five had an amazing time. The private experience really made the difference — we noticed other boats with large groups, which looked fun but crowded. Being on our own felt special and relaxed. We were visiting on a cruise, and the location was very easy to find. Communication throughout was seamless and clear. Highly recommend!

We had a lot of fun and a beautiful day on the water. Easy pick up and drop off next to the cruise ship terminal. Great snorkeling and then to a small beach with a small stand that grills fish and lobster for lunch. Would absolutely recommend this private tour. What an incredible afternoon! The knowledgeable captain took us to a snorkel site that was unparalleled (and we snorkel a lot!) after realizing the “usual” site was murky. He was conscientious so as not to waste our time and wanting us to get the most out of our trip! The afternoon include a stop at a beach only accessible by boat which was a treat! We will totally book again if we find our way back to beautiful Antigua!!

Our excursion through Viator was top notch from the booking to the convenient on beach pick up/drop off location to the personable, private, laid back Antiguan snorkeling and coastal tour with Akaele - Red Red Wine. He was knowledgeable and most hospitable. This experience was well worth the money! Thanks to all that made it memorable for my husband and me.😎🏖️
