Snorkel com tartarugas e praia de Kenepa Grandi: viagem de um dia à ilha nº 1

The tour was so much fun! The guide and driver were both very nice and helpful. We were able to see multiple sea turtles and the kids also enjoyed jumping off the cliffs. I was also very thankful that the tour guides waited for our group as our cruise had been delayed into port due to a medical emergency. I was very thankful we were still able to participate in the excursion. Highly recommend!

Fun experience, nice tour guide and beautiful beaches. The 2nd beach was a tad too crowded for my liking but it was still very beautiful.

Be prepared to be wowed by the crew. They went above and beyond to make sure all guess experienced the turtles

The tour is advertised as snorkeling with turtles. In fact, we only had 40 minutes at the beach with the turtles. We saw turtles, which was great, and we would have liked to stay there longer. At the 2nd beach, we then had 90 minutes. However, it was completely overcrowded, you couldn't see anything in the water, and there were jellyfish remains there. Not a turtle in sight.

Our guide Anita was absolutely great. She was very funny too, really made our trip fun. Turtles were amazing,and the cove she took us to was amazing

We visited Playa Piskado (Playa Grandi) to snorkel with the sea turtles, and it is cool to see them up close. The fishermen were tossing fish guts into the water, which definitely attracts the turtles — amazing for photos, but also a bit smelly. There was also a man walking around with a sign aggressively asking people for money, which took away from the vibe. Chair rentals run $15 USD, and you only get about an hour here before moving on to Kenepa Grandi. Kenepa Grandi was lovely. The water is unbelievably clear, calm, and full of beautiful fish. It’s one of those beaches that looks exactly like the postcards — bright turquoise water and perfect swimming conditions. Also, only an hour here. The majority of the time was spent on the bus, with about a 45 min. drive each way. Bring your own snorkel! 🫠

Our excursion was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was because of Ms. Anita. From the moment we met her, she treated my husband and me like family. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine care made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued throughout the entire experience. Ms. Anita went above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves, answering questions, sharing her knowledge, and attending to every detail with a smile. Her passion for what she does shines through in every interaction, and it truly elevated our excursion from great to exceptional. If you have the opportunity to tour with Ms. Anita, consider yourself lucky. She is not only an outstanding guide but also a beautiful person who makes every guest feel special. A couple of things. First, it’s a LONG drives. Good news is the tour guide was awesome and told a very detailed history of the island nation. It was at times funny and sad, but always fascinating. The second thing is a lot of people do this excursion and the beach is crowded. You still see turtles (I had two come up right beside me and didn’t realize it until I saw them) and we were able to get some great pictures and video. So as a whole, it’s a good experience.
