Every detail about our tour was well thought out and planned and exceeded expectations! Our tour guide was personable, knowledgeable, funny and very hospitable. The tour of the town was interesting and a nice change from the city of Rome. We stopped and had wine in a local tavern and then shuttled to the vineyards, where we got to speak with the 8th generation winemaker. The olive oil and wine were delicious, topped off with a home made lunch. We had a dietary restriction in our party and they were very accommodating. I have been to many wineries in and outside the US and this will be one I’ll never forget. If you are thinking about doing this tour, think no further and book it now!!
Aw Thank you very much! This is very kind of you! Cheers to you.. And wishing you a life always full of great wines! ;-)
My friend and I were ready to get out of the crowds in Rome for a bit, and this was the perfect answer. Frascati is a short train trip from Termini station, and the train slowly climbs into the hills. We arrived early in Frascati to tour the town, and enjoyed the town square, shops, and restaurants. It was a Saturday so there was also a Farmers Market. We returned after the tour because we felt there was more to see. A quick walk back to the train station to meet up with Paola and Tony, who drove us to the Minardi Winery. We started with a wine and olive oil tasting outside with our small group of 10, a tour of the vineyard where we heard about the history of the winery and tasted 3 types of grapes still on the vines after harvest, all with an overview of Rome. It felt leisurely and relaxing. We moved indoors for a look at the wine caves, ate a delicious lunch with another wine, accompanied by music from Tony. Paola and Tony were informative and fun. We can readily recommend this tour.
We all loved this tour of Minardi Winery. We got picked up in town and whisked away to the vineyard, just a few minutes away. Our guides were friendly and informative as we were slowly immersed into the Minardi family way of life. Lots of great wine to taste. The food was excellent and we appreciated the vegetarian options. The singing and dancing at the end of the day capped off a fantastic time.
Very fun, informative, relaxing and enjoyable experience! Highly recommend, easy access from Rome and very fun local family winery!
Thank you very much! We had a great time! Cheers :-)
What a great experience it was to visit the Minardi Winery! Our tour guide, Michelle was a wealth of knowledge, both about the winery and about the wine industry in general. The four wines offered for tasting were of superior quality and the generous pours were impressive. After the initial tasting, we were served lunch that included two courses. Both were a lovely variety of Italian cuisines and also quite delicious. This was my second visit to the Minardi Winery and it was even more enjoyable than the first time six years ago. Definitely well worth the time and money!
Thank you my dear! It was great to have you at the farmhouse after 6 years.. wow! So for your third visit we will give you a special wine gift... ;-) Thanks again! Cheers!
