O Museu Cultural do Estreito de Melaka oferece uma jornada insightful para os ricos intercâmbios culturais que moldaram o Estreito de Melaka, onde comerciantes, exploradores e colonos de toda a Ásia e além se encontraram por séculos. O museu destaca a história marítima vibrante da região e a mistura de influências malaias, Chinesas, indianas, árabes e europeias que contribuíram para o patrimônio único de Melaka. Uma atração fundamental é o Cheng Ho Voyage Map, que ilustra as extensas expedições marítimas do lendário almirante durante a Dinastia Ming, simbolizando o papel vital de Melaka como um centro de comércio global e uma encruzilhada de civilizações.

Como parte do passeio a pé, faremos uma parada cultural aqui para aprender sobre o património Baba Nyonya - explorando a mistura única de tradições Chinês e Malay que moldaram a cultura Peranakan, desde sua arquitetura e estilo de vida até seus ricos costumes e artesanato.
Nenhuma viagem a Melaka é completa sem provar seu prato mais icônico - bolas de arroz de galinha de Hainanese. Ao contrário do arroz de frango habitual, aqui o arroz perfumado é rolado à mão em bolas do tamanho da mordida e servido com frango picado, molho de chili e vestir de soja. Esta especialidade local é uma experiência imperdível que representa verdadeiramente a cultura alimentar única de Melaka.
Nesta parada, desfrutaremos de um delírio doce amado pelos moradores locais - cendol tradicional com xarope rica de gula Melaka. Mimi was our food and culture tour guide and she was excellent! Mimi was very engaging and knowledgeable, she kept the kids' attention throughout the whole tour. We had a great time exploring Melaka old town and eating our way through all the local delicacies. She brought us to hidden alleyways and beautiful traditional peranakan houses which we would not have known if we had not join the tour. Love the craft activity that we could bring home as souvenir. Highly recommend!
