O passeio começa na entrada dos Museus do Vaticano, onde, após pular a longa fila, da escada em espiral de Momo você caminhará até o pátio do Belvedere, onde está localizada a enorme pinha de bronze. A visita continua na Galeria de Esculturas Romanas Antigas, Sala das Musas, Sala dos Animais e Rotunda. Em seguida, o guia o levará à galeria de mapas geográficos, à Galeria das tapeçarias e ao Salão Sobiesky.
Depois disso, vem a parte mais famosa dos Museus, as salas populares pintadas por Rafael para o Papa Júlio II e a Capela Sistina, incluindo as obras-primas de Michelangelo: a Criação de Adão e o Juízo Final.
Então é hora de um passeio pela Basílica de São Pedro, onde você explorará as inúmeras capelas laterais com suas criptas escondidas. Really good tour with Sara. She did a great job of pointing out the highlights for us without being boring. Gave us enough history so things made sense and told us specific things to look for as we went around, like certain details in the Sistine chapel. Even our 18 year old thought it was interesting. All in all a great tour and definitely recommend it.

Private tour is the way to go. It can be so packed with groups that a small private tour made it enjoyable. Sara was great, zooming us thru areas packed with people. My kids enjoyed it and were active the whole time, thanks to Sara!

When our family booked our trip to Italy, I immediately started searching for the same tour company my husband and I used (pre children) in 2017. After 9 years Private Tours of Rome are still the best. Our family of 4 (boys aged 6 & 8) booked the Colosseum Tour and the Vatican Tour. It was very easy to book the tours. I only communicated via email which was super convenient for me. Carmen was super responsive. Payment was also very easily done online. Claudia led both of our private tours. As a mom herself to a child similar in age, she was very patient with our boys and brought illustration books to help them visualize certain things. It helped my husband and I visualize as well. Claudia engaged our children, as well as, us and knew when to focus on certain details that interested us. The boys still talk about finding the dogs in the Sistine Chapel. If you are considering booking a private tour, please consider using Private Tours of Rome and please consider asking for Claudia as your guide as well.

Sara was our guide. She was kind and very knowledgeable. This was a private tour for just our group and it was 3 hours. It was hot and Sara found places for us to rest in the shade or open windows for ventilation. She showed us photos on her iPad to explain the different things we would see. We especially loved the explanation of the Sistine chapel. She kindly answered our questions. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our small private tour of the Vatican, St. Peter’s and Sistine Chapel was extraordinary. It’s really hard to put into words how wonderful this experience truly was. We had the best tour guide in Claudia. She provided wonderful historical information and was patient with our questions. Can’t wait for our next tour. Highly recommend!
