Tell your airport taxi driver to drop you off here!

A 14:20 return flight to the UK left a slot open to fill an hour or two after a gentle start to the day. My friend suggested this to fill the gap,and I'm glad he did! We didn't have time for the 'extras' such as flight simulators, nor the Terminal 2 apron tour, which all sound interesting. We were, however, extremely lucky to have a retired pilot explain his experience of flying some of the aircraft to us. It is equally sad, that so many personal stories will soon lost. My friend and I already plan a longer re-visit to experience the flight simulator and apron tour! If, like me, you have a vague interest in how things work this is well worth a visit, especially if you have a tour guide!

Excellent museum. Open all year round, visit now.

Definitely open, see website for times. A 10 min walk on an easy footpath from main airport terminal.A wonderful collection of old aircraft from the 1970s and earlier plus lots of more recent ground equipment . Almost nowhere else has these aircraft. Super friendly guides, we were given a detailed tour by the very knowledgeable Peter. Nice little shop with lots of aviation items.

Not worth the Time and Money

This activity is not at all Tourist Friendly. There was nothing written in English, everything in Hungarian. There was not even an Audio Guide. People were having a attitude and there is not even a tour. This price is only price of entrance. The activities inside the Museum have another price. Also this Museum is outside of the city. So please save your time and money and visit something within the City.

Nice collection of old planes, as well as a simulator flight!

The collection of numerous old planes, most of which can also be entered, as well as a TU-134 simulator, make the Aeropark worth seeing! The simulator flight was very interesting, we were well looked after!

If you are an aviation fan, you can take a look at the 200 E stop from the airport hall, if you walk for about 20 minutes, there is a little emptiness next door, but some walkways can go.

It's good, there are about 20 aircraft and three can be visited, large luggage can be borrowed from the souvenir shop. There are many Hungarian emperors to make aircraft and passenger aircraft. I personally like helicopters, so I took some pictures of helicopters.

Budapest Aeropark - If you are into Aviation go there

One of the best Aviation Museums in Europe. There are 18 airframes here but they are all accessible, well presented and to a Western european visitor have high rarity value. The Li-2, Il-14 and Kamov are superb the Li -2 having original interior and beautifully preserved. The museum staff are friendly and very knowledgeable (not something you find everywhere) and deserve support. If you can plan ahead (at least 4 days) you can arrange a tour of the nearby airport - which include AIRSIDE and the airport although not the busiest has some fabulous visitors. 10/10 for this

Interesting place, disappointing level of interactivity

Quite a few planes, helicopters and cars (fire engine, police car, airport service vehicles) to see. Unfortunately most of them were not open so we could see them only from the outside, which was a bit of a disappointment. To make it a good value for money we'd expect all of them to be accessible from the inside as well. The guides were sitting in the cockpits of all the bigger planes that we could visit, which was a bit uncomfortable. We'd rather be alone inside for spontaneous selfies and so on 😉 It would be better if the guide were available outside instead. We were lucky, because it was cloudy and a bit windy during our visit, but don't go there when it's hot and sunny as there's no shade anywhere and obviously no air conditioning inside the planes.

Interesting but very improvable

For enthusiasts it is always interesting to see an Aeronautics museum but this is really small and, despite the presence of some staff who give explanations, there are no explanatory signs on every plane, much less in English. It is also unclear whether the simulator can be used.

Great exhibition!

Very great exhibition, perfect for airplane fans! Unfortunately, many planes were locked but still a great experience. Price good and about 10 min walk from the airport.

Resposta do operador

Thank you for the feedback! Please come again, and talk to the crew. Almost all aircraft can be opened for the asking :-)
