Simply amazing! Tiago is an awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible guide who made our day unforgettable. Sintra is incredibly steep and full of hills, so having a guide like him makes all the difference. He knows the best routes, restaurants, shares interrsting history, and adapts the tour to your pace and interests. We were able to see so much without the stress of navigating such a challenging town on our own. If you want to truly enjoy everything Sintra has to offer, this is absolutely the way to do it. Highly recommend Tiago to anyone visiting this beautiful, magical place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
10/10! We had a great tour today! Our tour guide was very communicative and on time! Even had a flexibility day of to do earlier or later to customize our tour. They were very educated and interactive. We really appreciate that they had a little snack and waters for our group!
We had the most amazing time with this experience! Ze was a wonderful tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area, as he is a local. We went to the Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, then to the coast. Ze took us to a beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean with tasty seafood. We then drove down the coast from Sintra to Cascais and got to see some spectacular views. We did some off-roading, which was quite the adventure, and we felt safe and secure the entire time while having a blast! Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the area and all the highlights!
We had the most amazing day with Tiago exploring Sintra and the coast. He was a wealth of knowledge, so easy to talk to, friendly, experienced. He took us to many places off the beaten path which we appreciated. I can not recommend him highly enough for a day through the area.
I knew our day would be a fun day as we were greeted by Manuel, seeing him walk up from the jeep, adorned with 2 rubber chickens. First stop, a local baker and coffee house to have pastel de nata, fresh out of the oven, wonderful recipe. As the owner joked as we left, employees sign contract knowing they will be shot when leave and disclose the recipe 😉. On we go, next step a local artist, Almeida Coval, and his studio, 2 artists busy, 1 painting on tile, from techniques he taught her. His works were on display, and his craft lives on after his death over a year ago. We continued from there making our way up the mountain, stopping frequently for Manuel to give us a new perspective to view each of the castles. Some of these stops, were off the roadway, and were exquisite sites…. We go for a short walk alone at the center of Sintra, returning in time for Manuel to shuttles us onwards to other sites, on the back side of Sintra facing the ocean. We make our way to the ocean, stopping at the farthest West Point in Europe, along the beautiful coast. From there we go “off-road” on a dirt and rock strewn roadway. We stand up so we don’t get battered about as we make our way to the rocky edge of cliffs overseeing the ocean. We visit the “hole in the cliffs”, and come back to a HUGE SURPRISE by Manuel. He has placed 2 chairs and small table on the cliff side, overlooking the sea, to enjoy a picnic luncheon he prepared to celebrate our anniversary. The site was spectacular …. Food was great. BTW.. he did a secrete stop to buy some exquisite pastries native to Sintra/Portugal. He was so excited to do the surprise.. IDK who was happier, my wife and I, or Manuel. 🥰. We continued on to several stops along the ocean, and were able to walk down to visit the sandy shore. Manuel made this anniversary a lifetime memory. He is warm, happy, caring, knowledgeable, and interesting guide, making our visit a day to remember forever. Obrigato Manuel .. you are a champ.. See you soon my friend.
Planning our tour with Tiago was seamless he made things so easy. This was such a fantastic tour! I highly recommend. Our guide Andre was amazing and full of so much knowledge.
We had the best day in Sintra with Tiago! This is truly an adventure and the best way to see it all!
We had a brilliant, personalised tour with Tiago. He stopped at wherever we wanted to - castles, palaces, hillsides & coastline. Lots of hidden gems & great info that only locals would know. We weee even tested to local snacks! Highly recommend.
We hired Ellio for a 4x4 tour around Sintra with our family, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable guide experiences we’ve ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable, bringing each place to life—especially by showing us old photos of the sites we visited, which added a unique and meaningful perspective. What really stood out was how involved he was; while other guides stayed outside, Ellio joined us inside the palaces, making everything feel more personal and engaging. He also treated us to delicious local pastries from a bakery in town, took us off-road to breathtaking viewpoints we never would have found on our own, and brought us to a fantastic Portuguese restaurant. On top of that, he captured some of the best family photos we have. We travel all over the world, and this truly stands out as one of the best experiences we’ve had—highly recommend Ellio!
I enjoyed the whole experience, like the car, the knowledge of the tour guide, the non touristy spots that we got taken too. I feel like the whole experience was really well executed, the tour guide was very prepared which helped my family and I really enjoy every part of it. We were smiling the whole time, very pleased with the experience.
