Singapore After Dark: Workshop de fotografia noturna

Spent an amazing evening on a night photography workshop with Caroline. As we walked the scenic riverside from Clarke Quay to the marina, Caroline gave meticulous instructions on using in-camera settings for low light and challenging lighting conditions. We used long exposure techniques in this photo to capture the river boats returning from the marina. I learned so much and the 2 hour workshop gradually extended over 3 hours as Caroline is so passionate about teaching photography and the beauty of Singapore that we both lost track of time. If you find yourself in Singapore, book a workshop with Caroline to get the most out of this amazing city.

Absolutely amazing.Caroline is so nice and knows so much about photography I had the best time exploring Singapore as well as learning all sort of new tips and tricks. Highly recommend for any stages.

This workshop was amazing. Caroline went into detail about the skills and techniques required for night photography. She was patient and positive, and had even researched the camera types we brought along so she could talk through the different settings. I learned heaps, and had a great time. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough-five stars!

Caroline is amazing if you love photography you should do this tour! Caroline is incredibly friendly and patient. It had been a while since I used my camera and she took the time to help me with settings and understand the camera better. The walk was great and I learned a lot about Singapore in the process. I can't wait to do another tour with her.

Caroline is an amazing teacher, patient explaining the different facets of night photography well. While getting me to do the things she showed she also encouraged me to try different settings on my camera and then tell her why I did so, and discuss if it worked or not and why.

It was a wonderful experience! Caroline Pang is personable and has a unique style of teaching night and street photography. She shared with me many tricks and camera settings to photoshoot under low light environment and how to frame subjects from different angles. The workshop was so enjoyable that time just zoomed by. I'll definitely book another workshop with Caroline Pang again next time when I am in Singapore.

Hey Caroline, Finally got home to Melbourne last night and found the time to clear my cards, and all I can say is wow. Thank you so much for the generous time you gave, the locations you took me to; those strange alleys that were alive with colour and vibrancy, the stories you told and the information you shared. And thanks for making sure I didn't get run over when I took shots of the Masjid Sultan by lying down on the road!! I got back to the motel just before midnight after I finished shooting in the final locations and was mixed with exhaustion from a very long humid yet worthwhile day, but also with the quality of the shots I took. I hope you made your train!! For those reading this review Do not go past Caroline Pang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To anyone looking for a guided tour with fantastic help, information and great company Caroline is the best of all of the five fantastic photography tours I have done around the world. It wasn't simply a guided tour saying take a photo of this. My skill level is a medium amateur with good composition skills, and comfort in shooting manually. From a technical perspective the difference Caroline had over the other fantastic tours I have done elsewhere in the world was her ability to quickly determine my skill level, what I had done and what I wanted to gain. In my case it was more about improving my skills around colour definition and white balance, plus exposure control. I can certainly see the differences in the shots I took from the night, in that my tones are more realistic and my night shots more defined and realistic. But don't think that Caroline would be only for these with expensive gear. Her teaching style is very simple, fully explained and based on years of experience. Caroline will get you off auto - whether it be mode or white balance, and explain why and how to make the best shot possible on camera - and not in photo shop. The tour itself comprised of architectural, artistic, nightlife street photography, how to compose in certain locations, but it also covered history, education and the mixed Singaporean culture. You will learn a lot from Caroline as I did, and I cant wait until I can come back for another tour.
