Sierra Nevada é um maciço rochoso que forma uma unidade geográfica claramente distinta. Está localizado ao sudeste da cidade de Granada e se estende ao longo do extremo oeste de Almeria. Oferece um contraste nítido entre o relevo suave dos morros para outras áreas mais acidentadas. Os picos mais altos da Península podem ser encontrados nesta reserva: Mulhacen (3.482 metros) e Veleta (3.392 metros). As principais comunidades vegetais espalhadas por este maciço rochoso são: azinheiras, florestas de folha caduca, castanheiros e carvalhos Melojo, bosques de alta montanha e matagal acolchoado nos picos mais altos, onde as espécies formam uma almofada para se proteger das temperaturas de inverno e ventos gelados. Quanto à fauna, existem invertebrados exclusivos deste maciço, incluindo mais de 20 espécies de borboletas. No caminho de volta ao hotel, você terá a oportunidade de experimentar um menu de tapas local.

We had a great time. Our tour guide Michael was the best. Very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We were able to customize our experience to our liking. Would highly recommend to others.
One day trip to the Alpujarras. Very well organized. The guide, DANTE, very pleasant and friendly. Very timely scheduled visits and stops. The tasting of typical products is very good. The restaurant where we ate was also very good, although the menu could be improved. In short, outstanding for GRANAVISION and for the guide: DANTE. Both are totally recommended.

Nice trip and super guide, but the visit in the allmost closed ski-resort was Wast of time. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
<p>Having been unable to get tickets for the Alhambra we decided we would like to get out of the city and head for the hills! This was an excellent trip up to Sierra Nevada which still had some snow on the tops. The ski season is finished so the area was very quiet. OUr guides were excellent and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. Not a full day but we were back in time for a siesta and then to see some more of Granada.</p>
<p>If you want to see the Sierra Nevada mountains this was a very enjoyable way to experience it. Michael our tour guide was terrific, the views were spectacular and it was nice to have the flexibility of being on a private tour. When we showed up to meet Michael he was already there and the vehicle you provided was very comfortable. It truly was a memorable tour.</p>

A nice drive up into the mountains, but the main 'destination' to explore when we left the vehicle was a closed ski resort. The alternative 'mountain' excursion from Granada, to Las Alpujarras, may have more interesting stop-offs with picturesque villages to explore?
