Brilliant tour, would highly recommend as a fantastic way to get your bearings around the town, local idioms that became worldwide everyday sayings intertwined with history and good Irish humour.

This is a great walking tour and the guide is so nice, knowledgeable, and funny! If you are in Kilkenny you have to book this tour! I have done the tour twice.

A brilliant walking tour for first time visitors to Kilkenny! Nevin was a fantastic guide… knowledgeable, personable and very entertaining. A fun history lesson full of great stories and interesting characters. A must do for anyone visiting Kilkenny!

We had an amazing time on this tour! I didn’t want it to end. Learned so much on the area and I have never laughed so much on a tour! My face hurt when we were finished! Highly recommended!

I enjoyed the walking tour very much. I especially enjoyed Nevin's telling of the Irish links to the origins of so many of our sayings today, such as, "by hook or by crook", and "hangover" and so many others that I cannot even recall now. I wish I could have recorded the whole 2 1/2 hours of knowledge and fun. And of course he let me know for sure I'm traveling with a witch, with his time proven test! The tour was delightfully engaging, truly informative (as we had visited many of the sites the day before not knowing the gems of knowledge he imparted to us); so definitely worth the price. Nevin's memory of all our names and places of origins was pretty spectacular; making it feel comfortable and easy to engage and interact with him. I appreciated him sharing a bit of "him" with us on this tour!! Great tour!

We found a flyer for the shenanigans tour at our hotel and thought it sounded interesting. Then we ran into two other visitors who had been on it and they said it was wonderful so we booked it. We are so glad we did. Nevin was so entertaining - full of fascinating information, and stories about the city and buildings as well as several magic tricks and many jokes. So much fun! We highly recommend booking a tour.

We landed in Dublin and this was our first stop. It was just what we needed to keep us up and moving and experiencing Kilkenny! Two adults, two college kids, a highschooler and a middle schooler. We all enjoyed it!
